This is amazing, as someone in my first year of trading I could have listened to you 2 chat all day long. Such a good point that he makes about not being able to sell 'nicer' cars as people want them from main dealers or car supermarkets. I also think Dave, with your 25k market, you're really then getting to a price point where people can afford to lease electric cars or getting one from a car to work scheme that comes directly out of their wages. I've been fortunate enough this week to sell a 58 plate Audi A3 for £3995 to someone going the other way - shes had a brand new electric car for the last 3 years and decided she no longer wants the monthly payment. I believe thats why you're struggling with the 25k market, people might as well lease one and have their insurance/tyres/maintenance all in one monthly payment and swap it every 2/3 years, where as there is still a market for people buying sub 10k cars.

Modest. BUT. It's what's achievable. Don't spend it going along it is 100k clear annually job done right. Live on 30k you can get 50-75k pumped back into stock p.a. Way job should be done. If can. Own money spun up. Hard Knox long hour trading

Still singing the song bud, on day 2 now, reminds me of back in the day as well, early noughties were great, 2007/8 credit crunch brought me down to earth, look how mad you are on the video compared to your serious face on this video thumbnail, ha, ha.

Guy speaks total sense. Over 15k non luxury brand car .... Car supermarket car , won't sell smaller dealer. Meaning wont sell in 30 calendar days prob will once margin dropped by 66% or 2/3rds profit gone over 3-9 months. Job like this. We all sell what we sell and step away from the norm they just sit therr

I know a car dealer who raced also , was quoted saying his bank manager was paramount to being successful and his sponsors enabled him to get the best cars and drivers , then he got caught with with a humongous 750 kilos of good stuff worth 75 million today . Some people use cars for a right old cover up to explain money and he’s the nicest fella buuuut…..

I’m pretty sure it’s around £1500 - £2000 average gross, obviously they all won’t have that in them taking repairs and reductions into consideration.

I don't go too dear bud, tried that, I found you had to make a dearer car cheaper to shift it, when you go to astons Friday late sale there might be 2 or 3 people where budget sale is packed out. Just bought a 66 plate mokka and that's as dear as I'll probably go tbh.
@cardealerpro6 ай бұрын
It’s finding the right balance. I don’t want go too cheap then your fighting with all the other traders but then I don’t want to be buying all the supermarket stuff! That’s why I seem to do ok with later plate automatics, I suppose it’s supply and demand.

If it’s a car I know inside out and the faults it normally comes with if it’s priced right I’ll buy one with a red marker!
