@@splattim3437 - Dennis Burfoot CENTIPEDE This worm they call the Centipede, was crawling on a car. The distance that it traveled for a worm was not too far, But how the wind was blowing it scarce could navigate And from the back and to the front it's course was laid out straight. His fifty legs on either side he raised with utmost care, And set his toes to grip and hold so as not to blow off there And while he valiantly did try to go from aft to fore The car was going down the road at fifty miles or more Little did the creature know how swiftly he did fly It was for him to crawl along and not to wonder why. The man that held the steering wheel and made the car to go, Thought he was just going for a ride and little did he know. While the country side he knew beneath his wheels rolled by Twenty times the speed he drove above him moved the sky. And while he thought he traveled west the opposite was true, For with the turning of the earth it was backwards that he flew. And yet there was a greater speed with nothing to compare, The earth in orbit 'round the sun, a year from here to there. So crawl on little centipede and relate to what you see, Leave Einstein then to theorize on relativity.

@@BroScro "fastest speed paddling on an bicycle". Not "fastest speed paddling on an bicycle with no assistance". She did not do it on her own effort. She is towed to some speed under 184mph (maybe anywhere between 110mph to 170mph), and with the help of the wind shield of the car to reduce air resistance, cycles to 184mph. Also, as long as it doesn't contain a motor, it is a bicycle. After all, the definition of a "bicycle" is "a vehicle consisting of two wheels held in a frame one behind the other, propelled by pedals and steered with handlebars attached to the front wheel."

As always, there are the people who do things, and the people who don’t. From your comment, it seems like you very likely fall in the latter category. There is absolutely no shame in being an observer rather than a doer, however, I do think you should be ashamed of yourself for sh*tting on other people’s accomplishments. Imagine if the next time you achieve a big personal goal, someone told you that it wasn’t very impressive and a child could have done it. I don’t know why I’m lecturing an internet troll, since it probably won’t make a difference, but the negativity in your comments was incredibly upsetting to me. Why can’t you just be happy for her? Perhaps you think it’s unfair that she’s being interviewed while you’re not? Well, if so, let me just say that it’s very clear to me why the video is on her and not you. You and I both know very well that a child could not have done this. In an effort to make a point, you’ve exaggerated to the point of nonsense. If it’s so easy, why don’t you go out tomorrow and prove me wrong? I hope in the future, you can come to appreciate the work and effort that goes into something and not feel the need to tear it down relentlessly. I will not be responding to further comments.

they're not actually attached during the speed measurement, the gearing is so extreme they need to be towed up to a certain speed that they can then maintain/build on _very_ gradually. Except that is not what she did. She accelerated. She was not released at 184 MPH. She didn't reach that speed until around mile marker 5, these are mile markers from when she was released not when they started driving. The goal was to release her around 110 MPH and given they had the GPS working on the actual record attempt that is likely the speed they released her at. Might have been slightly faster, was not likely any slower.

I've ridden in pacelines moving up to 27-28 mph. It's an amazing feeling. You try to keep about one wheel diameter of space between your bicycle and the one ahead of you, but it takes very steady riders to make it work, and good communication is critical when the peloton needs to slow down. If your front wheel overlaps and touches the back wheel of the cyclist ahead of you, it will cause you to crash because you lose the ability to steer.

"now a days" Bicycle riders used trains to draft behind them and doing 120km/h (75mph) in the late 1800's already. People like you discover something on the net and think it all started the minute you discovered it. As for bicycle riders drafting behind race cars - that has been going on since the 1950's.

Dude, 184 mph, while kind of cheating, what would be the difference if u got on a bike in a garrage on those test wheels, u pushed it to like 400 MPH theoretically with no friction from the ground or the wind, i mean might as well jump out of a plane with a bike and say that u are ON A BIKE faster than 184 MPH.

You were riding West while I was riding East Alex so I was riding faster :P . I'm also closer to the Equator so I had some extra kmh from that as well. I don't know about you Alex but I saw so many aero issues with that attempt that I reckon I could give the record a serious nudge even with my staying power.

Andrew Elias *sighs* If you understood the physics behind why she needed to be towed to 110 mph before releasing from the tow vehicle, you would understand that the only effort in her part is to hold on and not die. The vortex created by the slipstream literally pushes her into the back of the tow vehicle, hence the bumpstop attached to the front of the bike. The only skill involved was from the driver not increasing speed to fast keeping the car steady to avoid killing her. This is why you kids need to stay in school so you don’t get fooled by stuff like this, bye your welcome

Know it wasn't, i disagree - we should as of today now go back to the windtunnel and measure how much push the biker receives by the drag/turbulences - and then rework the whole machine, improve that provide more push, go for and find maximum push. It's all in the design of the vehicle. And the bike itself as of today does not look very scientific. In Germany where is FES for instance. I think they would be proud to help with their best knowledge.

Ian McGregor actually it’s not, every year data shows that fewer and fewer people believe or take part in religion. As opposed to the lefts agenda that grows more by the day. We see it in universities, in pop culture, it’s running rampant in politics right now. This agenda has taken a toll on our young men, again we see it everywhere. Young men are being left behind in all aspects of life, education, finance, culturally. It’s a much bigger issue than most people realize, and then you have the left demanding more, and that men need to curb their “toxic masculinity.” It’s raising a generation of weak men, the US military is having a hard time finding qualified people to serve. We now have a weak society, and that breeds weak men. And working strong men are the back bone of a functioning society. Considering the fact that women, more specifically single mothers are a net negative contributor to our tax revenue, in about 15 years we’re going to be having major problems.
