Beautiful. Love how it’s been modernised but at the same time retained it’s period features. The modern and traditional blend well together. Love the use of wood. It’s brings in so much warmth. ❤

I would love to hear how much these renovations cost, genuinely curious about breakdowns and stories of financing !

You'd be budgeting for at least $30k per square. The house looks roughly around 18 squares so around $560k for construction cost plus 10-15% for Architects fees.

@@nikolasb2933 Thanks for the reply, genuinely appreciate it. Honestly, those numbers sound about right to me. I still love these transformation videos, though it really is only one part of the whole picture. Would love to see more knowledge sharing in addition to result sharing.

They destroyed everything that was original and charming about this historical house -which according to them was beautiful. So they go ahead and turn it into an ugly soulless modern box, which they could have done anywhere else. That's what's wrong with these people, and that's what's wrong with non-existing regulations on historical buildings.

Direct this to the previous owners who put up an ugly extension in the 70s/80s. Breathe kept the heritage, and demolished the terrible extension to put something that is functional and beautiful and respectful of the heritage.
