That's part of why I find it so weird there's a bit of the Bionicle fandom that vehemently swears off any CCBS style pieces and disowns any MOC that uses them. From my experience, I can trust CCBS to last better than any socket Bionicle made from 2008-2010. I have quite a few broken sockets from my 2001 and 2002 sets now too, and while I buy 2001 style parts to replace them in their original sets to preserve their look; every MOC I use is all modern CCBS joints whenever I can use them.

I would have made all of these arm designs but I am extremely limited with my technic/Bionicle pieces, I have only one black ball joint piece and two newer ball joint pieces so I can't really make big and awesome MOCs and since I don't live in America or other big country I can't order loads of pieces from bricklink or anywhere else because the shipping is very expensive and I don't have pick a brick stores here :(

Even if you don't have the parts, use the instructions to learn what techniques are being used, or specific ways they are designed, then take what you've learnt and use it with the parts you do have.
