NO Thread lock. Dry and clean torqued to proper spec. NO. Never push the caliper piston in without the valve open. You are shoving very very old contaminated brake fluid back up the line through the ABS system and into the brake master cylinder. This will often cause both to fail. Never allow grease to contaminate the brake pads as shown in this video. Stay clean, and no you can't just brake clean it off the pads. The very basics are kinda ok. But this brake job is very low quality, you can clearly see one caliper slide is still not sliding correctly. It should be butter smooth and very very easy to slide. Also wd40 is Not the correct lube. Wd40 will dry out in a week, and the old grease will get hard again, and the pin will stick. There are many errors in this video.

Suggest that you inspect brake master cylinder reservoir. If it is too full, and you compress the caliper piston, the brake fluid will overflow and make a mess. Use a syringe to draw out excess fluid to prevent overflow. After both sides are done recheck level before and after test drive.

Great addition to this video. Thanks for sharing this nugget. I just cleaned off the oil drips from my driveway. 😂 I would also place a plastic shower curtain or liner under your project and that way cleanup is one and done.

Hi, i was changing my brake pads and the brake piston got stuck i tried to push it back in and it didnt work. I accidently pulled it out and the piston came out. I put it back in and now it won't work when i press the brakes can you help me please

Hello. Can you describe why you think its not working? If you pulled the piston out, maybe you need to bleed that side to remove the air out when you placed back the piston. Please give me more information and describe what you are experiencing right now so I can try to help. Worse case though, you might need a new caliper assembly. They are not that expensive anymore on Ebay. Let me know so we can troubleshoot together. Keep me posted-Rjeff H2H

Hello. Parts prices will has a hug range based on where you buy it and the brand of the parts. I bought mine online, not famous brand for $250. Labor will vary with location. For example, here in NYC, an independent shop charges and average of $150-$200 for labor. That price will vary depending on where you are. Hope that helps.
