@@thalegacy6 yes I still have it. What you wanna do is turn your head lights on and check which wire has power for your high beams. Which ever wire has high beam power, you’ll put in a 9005 pig tail. The other headlight wire will be the low beam and require a 9006 pig tail.

these are 27x11.50. Switching over to a 28 this winter. The wheel is a 15x9.33 with a (i believe) 4.5 back spacing.

I'm looking to buy a 1999 LS Chevy S10 and I prefer the old style headlights sealed beams are just more reliable the way I see it composite headlights they just don't look right would be nice to find somebody who was swapping out their old hardware for the new type Hardware and core supports

The sensors for airbags are not the same - do not throw that stuff away with old front end parts. - Make sure you unhook the battery before attempting to even touch those sensors :) (I have a 95 s10 ls 2.2 extended cab 5 speed) Oh and don't lose those stupid headlight retainers!

That’s what I’m currently doing going from 2002 Back too 94-97 . Haven’t decided if I want the blazer style grill lights or the square beams . Only reason for this backward swap is I like the phantom grill look . But a lot guys like the optional 95-97 blazer style lights .

A CH my truck is a 99 and i want to do the same thing. I want to make it look like a 94 or 95 and i am also gonna put a 94-95 tailgate decal on it as well. Do you also have to swap out the light fixtures?

@@lilshag3472 Ya you have to change lights and also change light harness . 94-97 lights are sealed beam on the s10 and composite on the blazer . 98-04 like you have are all composite lights . You have to install 94-97 core support that’s what allows all the 94-97 components to clip or bolt on and yes sealed beam lights won’t work with your core support and grill they all must be 94-97 .You can also choose too use the blazer style grill and lights . Now 1998 is when the core support and front got a makeover and the core support was the major change that allowed for the new style lights you see on the 98-2004 . Order all 94-97 that’s how you go back wards

I've actually done this swap before and while its not exactly difficult. It should not be mistaken as being an ABC/123 swap. The bumper should be changed out as rhe older S10 with single lights have maker/turn signals in the bumper. The highlights definitely have to be rewired for each low/high beam bulb.

I want to do the opposite 97 style instead if my 2003 style.. Lighting options are shit for 98+2004 Yiu got atleast 6 or so awesome aftermarket LED options for the old style Danial Stern lighting for a simple H4 conversion if you fancy that. Best option for 98 plus is to just install auxiliary lights lol....or go to a shitty fitment aftermarket light band either blind everyone or end up with ba light that's less bright than stock

@@PghMtbRides after some more research i ended up buying some led 4x6, it has a nice wide beam pattern with a clean cut off. So much better at night. And since I have the oem fog light valance I installed some led spot/flood in case I need some extra light. Pretty pleased with it.

Dang he went all out. ANYONE DOIN THIS and is low on money or doesn't want to go threw all that trouble and do extra work all you need for this job or all I bought was a grille with lights off Amazon for like $105 and then cut some pigtails and headlight fastener things of a junkyard truck $10 then in the hood release bracket drill to hole then take a cut off wheel zap out the middle then u have your horizontal opening for the grille to snap in. Headlights I just lined up with the grille on and hood closed had some grease in the pins and l brackets then it showed me where to make my holes. So I just drilled 4 holes put the headlight threw and used the fasteners then drilled threw the l brackets and put a nut and bolt. Forgot to mention I cut off the pieces on the l brackets on the lights so the would sit flat. And that's all. Just wanted to put this first anyone like me who didnt have alot of money. And I'm sorry I just have to say idk why you would do this to a real ss truck there value keeps goin up sadley I totaled one or I'd still have it. But you shoulda kept it stock and found another dime a dozen regular s10 to do all this work to. Dint get me wrong I love the truck I just think your crazy for doin that. Like dads say. I'm not mad I'm just disappointed lol.

It’s actually a bit cheaper doing it his way (if you can find a 98-04 s10 in a junkyard, good luck around here) but it requires a lot more work. Your way is the easy way and it’s how I’m going to do mine lol thanks for the tip, I was just wondering if I could use the brackets on the headlights and put bolts through it lol
