Dang: You're so young. You look like a kid still in high school. Glad you showed this old geezer something. But I need to know how I can straighten out the bumper just enough to stop it from rubbing on the left tire to drive it to ABRA. Oh, thanks for the video.

Hey man, nice work. The guide is very easy to follow along with. I own a 1998 Chevy S-10 and I thought I'd point out the differences in-case someone owns a later model. Difference 1: The grill is not held in by any bolts, it is only held in by snap clips. Also, be extremely careful when taking the grill off, 20 year old plastic is fragile. Difference 2: You must gently pop out the turn signal from the grill. You only need to take off the lens (light cover?) of the turn signals. Disconnect them in the manner shown in the video. You do not need to touch the headlights. The way the 1998 bumper is bolted on is different from the 1997 model. There are two bolts underneath, located near the wheels (back corner on both ends of bumper). You must use a pivoting extension (I needed two) in order to remove the bolt. You must also (or at least I did) place a wrench on the square nut which is also on the bolt. The wrench pretty much holds itself in place and is only there to prevent the nut from turning. Under the hood of the truck (top of the bumper) there are 4 bolts. They are in a similar spot to the ones in the 1997 model except the 2 lower bolts are slightly harder to get at, use a pivoting extension (for your ratchet, of course). Other than that, it is a very similar process to the video above. Note: my 1998 S-10 is the sport side edition, I am unsure if the standard model has the same configuration.

Quick question for everyone on here, I drive a 2002 GMC Sonoma. I want a steel front bumper that’s made for the s10. I know that most parts between these trucks are interchangeable but is the bumper?
