Are organizations required to post jobs publicly by a regulatory body?
@LifeWorkBalance2 жыл бұрын
Great question! It depends on where you are located. (The following applies to jobs posted in the US) Federally, no, there are no laws requiring jobs be posted publically in all states. However, there are certain states, like Colorado, that require a competitive process for certain jobs. This is based on the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, which also requires salary information be posted.

Thank you for the information you're providing. So i just came across your video and subscribed to you channel and looking forward to learn more from you in the future. Actually I have a question for you about linkedIn groups. So As an expert, I think you can help me go through this confusion that I have, So you know we get a notification sometimes that admins of such group recommended such post , so how can I viral my post in a group like that so All the members get notified and read that post. Do admins have an option or authority to recommend a post to members. I would be grateful if you can reply .... Thanks,

Hi! Thank you so much for your support, I really appreciate it! That's a good question. I found the following article that might be of some help: www.linkedin.com/pulse/linkedin-tip-173-how-recommended-admins-christine-till#:~:text=If%20you%20would%20like%20to,Did%20you%20know%20this%3F It looks like anyone who is a group manager can recommend an article that is posted in the group. If you are in a group and you would like some of your content recommended, my first recommendation would be to find out who the managers of the groups are. Reach out to them and start to build a relationship with them. They likely won't just recommend your content because you ask. You'll want to build a relationship with them, provide them with value (like comment and share their content), and get to know them before they'll likely start recommending your content to the group. I hope this helps!

Has anyone had any success getting a response from a recruiter on LinkedIn? I write very specific, succinct, and honest inquiries - and I’ve sent a bunch - even to the recruiter that helped me with the job that I’ve held for the past decade. Not one response to date. Seriously, not one.

Ugh, that is so frustrating. What about contacting other employees, rather than recruiters specifically?

@@LifeWorkBalance Firstly you are making a self fulfilling prophecy. If a person only uses the hidden job market then they are only going to find jobs using the hidden job market. Secondly there are a lot of idiots that will tell you a company is hiring because they know someone that was hired back in the 1970s. Far too many of them. No, I am not going on another job search wild goose chase.
