It was interesting to listen, I would want to listen to it again and process more, as I do believe that people do not always hold onto conscious principles but rather the ones dictated by the society. Such principles can be often dangerous and program self-rejection. On the other hand good principles help to keep control over passions and successfully cooperate with ego. You will know what truth is when you try to stand on it during the storms. Sufferings is actually the test of truth and spirituality. The stronger the waves, the stronger the swimmer. But if truths are only held in comfort, you can easily be clinging to an empty false belief and not be aware of it. Solitude in the crowd is much harder than the buddha under a tree. It's easy to be a buddha hiding away from the trials of life. Peace and poise is easy free of trials surrounded by like minded people. Try having poise during trials, injustice, pain, family, betrayal, narcissists etc. He is right, the world bows before a pierced crucified Christ. Selflessness is more powerful than selfishness. Don't believe me, test it. Sacrifice is power.

wow it's really different when someone is emptily reading from a text compared to the original who is really speaking from their own deep experiential wisdom. If I listen closely the words do contain truth, but the reading is like empty, hollow, making these substantial words insubstantial. The place you are coming from is really what transmits truth. I remember a spiritual teacher saying 2 people can say the same words, but have different effect, it's not the words, but the place where that person is coming from. If from ego it's repulsive, if from the depths of being it's nourishing

It is also the inflection that you give to each word that is revealing and personalized for our own individual understanding. Hearing the words with the inflections from someone else's perspective doesn't have the same power it does with our own inflections.

Try meditating and letting these conflicting thoughts flow through your mind without attaching any emotion to any of them. After doing that for a while grab one of the conflicting thoughts that keep cycling through your mind and do a deep introspection on it. Remember each time this conflict occurred and experience the emotion and the resulting sensation behind it without reacting to it. Just let it be a thought, an emotion and a sensation and let the emotion wash through your body without reacting in any way. Eventually you get to the initial experience that caused that emotion and sensation and it will be gone forever.
