How to Activate and Bind DJI Digital FPV Goggles System

The DJI FPV Goggles systems is pretty easy to setup. But I’ve heard of a few issues, so just to be sure I’ve created this walkthrough of all the steps required to register the system then how to bind the DJI FPV Goggles and the DJI Remote to the DJI FPV Air module. Then my first impression upon seeing it the first time. Hi ... I bought an iFlight MagaBee HD BNF drone , that came w. the RXSR receiver and the DJI Digital FPV Air unit ... BUT NO INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO CONFIGURE AT ALL. NO INSTRUCTIONS ON BINDING THE RECEIVER TO THE DJI REMOTE CONTROLLER. I've linked the Goggles to the Air unit, but don't have a clue how to link the controller to the receiver controller in the drone. @@rsugdenmd Hey, did you get this figured out? just got my bumblebee hd bnf and bound it to the reciever (buttons on both) and it show up in the goggles, but will not arm the quad. And when I try plugging in to betaflight it won't connect.

First, there is another USB port on the controller board, other than the one on the DJI Air Unit .. tiny and difficult to see .. just behing and below the Air unit ... Then it should connect to Betaflight. When I got mine hooked up, they had set the wrong Comm protocol ... can't remember the right one, but it is on the iFlight page w. the MegaBee .. and then you can set the ARM switch, the upper right one on mine, to turn the motors off when it is in the forward position. Also, the left, forward switch controls the flight mode ... very rapid and unstable in the forward position, more stable in either aft positions. Search for Joshua Bardwell on KZbin ... he has lots of info and helped me get mine configured .. he's doing a video about how to configure the MegaBee for the DJI FPV Goggles, Air Unit and Controller ... Real hassle w. no instructions!!

Excellent video......But I need HELP. I followed the instructions but when I plugged the goggles (3:48) I didn't get that Icon, I heard the "tururu😁" when I connected the cable but nothing happened 😳😢. I used different USB ports and I heard the noise but nothing...... whyyyyyy😢😢?

Thanku for this video. I've had my Iflight Chimera7 dji with crossfire, and my Jumper T18 pro with crossfire for 4 days now, trying to setup everything on betaflight and flash firmware is so stressful. Especially when I'm not sure what to flash firmware to. I'm new to fpv so having trouble.

Should they turn on as soon as you connect the battery? mine don't do anything, i tried by pressing the red bottom on the right, i also tap and then hold for many seconds. It just don't do anything.

Does the Controller suck, compared to say a Taranis? Looks big, bulky, heavy, and short on switches, and with a proprietary battery. I think the setup part is damn daft, what if you're a hold out still using XP? Or running Linux? or System 7.5.3? I run Windows 7 x64, but I'm going to have to check to make sure its supported... but for how long? And are they tracking the GPS coordinates of where I am flying?

Yes i agree, i had the connex but that was a dissapointment. I am a fast racer and the lag was just to much. Now i tried the dji in combination with my taranis and xsr (sbus) protocol and there was a tiny amount of lag but with the dji controller and sbus its completly gone.

Thanks to Share, I bought the googles and 3 units for my drones, I'm gonna use my FRSky controler. But I have a big question?! Any time I want to Change the drone I have to rebind the googles with the unit?!? Or it saves the bind of my 3 units?!?

Hi did you ever do that optimal battery setup video for these goggles, like you said? :) I am just got my goggles, and I find the power situation cumbersome. E.g. a 850 mah 4S Battery doesnt seem to power them very long?

I noticed when setting up my quad in Betaflight the DJI air unit get pretty hot seeing I’m setting up the drone and it takes a while .... did you notice how hot it gets ?

After connecting the goggles to the air unit and then connecting the transmitter, the goggles cannot be used when connecting to the air unit. Do you know the cause?

I tried to connect my air unit to the DJI assistant but it could not find it. It would just keep making the sound of it connecting and disconnecting but never once pop up like it did for the DJI Goggles. Can anyone help? I'm running Windows 10

When I power on my remote it beeps twice and shows red on the indicator. When I do the combi it stays red (beeps once). It does not turn blue. Fully charged, activated and updated the firmware. Any ideas?

I wonder why DJI did not give us an option to bind the DJI sbus to a Taranis

It operates on a 5.8Ghz. Taranis is 2.4Ghz. It would need a module for the Taranis.

@@SimRacer101 Louis Rossman uses the gel and is the wizard of soldering. I imagine that it works great for heat transfer. People don't realize that flux cleans you connection and transfers heat faster.

I’ve always used the gel, but I had a whole bunch of pin headers to solder on my wing FC and wanted to try the pen for that.
