How to Activate DJI OSMO POCKET 3 | Connect DJI Pocket 3 to Mimo App (2023)

Today i got my camera , was so excited but now I'm tired bcz i couldn't activate, many times i installed and reinstalled the app, made profile but still my app cannot catch the dji osmo, kindly anyone help me I'm so so tired and it became headache for me

I have downloaded everything from the App as you advised - I don't get the Connect to device on my Phone or App = its so frustrating - Ive tried 4 times to reset accounts to reinstall apps all day and still nothing on my Samsung 22 Ultra and 23 Ultra - the Pocket 3 wont let me use it and I need it for work - going to throw it away - HELP

Did you solve this? I'm in the same situation. It never asks to connect to network/device. The app just opens. Under device management it just says device unavailable.

That's because DJI is spying on you and gives the data to the china's communist's party. There were analysis of the MIMO App showing how much of your personal data they are sending back...

When I try to find the Mimo app in the Play Store, it does not seem to exist! When I just click the link on the app you show in this video it takes me to the store app! I have a Galaxy A9 with Android 10. Any ideas about whats up? I also can not use the camera as it is on the screen that says active camera and I can not get out of it!

Have a look at this list and see if your phone is there. If not open a support ticket with dji.

Nice one - hope you are enjoying it. Just curious - did you have any overheating issue? Ive already had so many instances of overheating on 1080p and 4k 50fps. Changed the micro sd card as well (dji recommends sandisk extreme pro class 3). It overheats and stops recording after some minutes. Might have to return it!

Hi, That's not good news. Sorry to hear that. I used it last night to record 13 mins of continuous 4K@25fps footage at ca +10C air temperature. It didn't overheat or feel hot in my hand. I didn't try 50fps yet. I also took the opportunity to update to firmware 01.01.08.50 when activating. What was the air temperature when you recorded? How long till it overheated? 50fps vs 25fps: the former is more cpu-intensive and generates more heat. Did it also overheat @ 25fps? I would imagine if yours overheats, others will have the same problem.@@TheSimpleDad

HI Yes overheating in 1080 50fps, 4k25fps and 4k50fps. Firmware is updated and temperature was around 21 degree. The gimbal and screen part very hot. Have a read, lot of ppl experiencing that. I am guessing yes. But you might see the app in mobile size view as it is built for that only. Give it a go!

You only need to connect to the app to activate it your dji pocket 3. Apart from that you dont need to connect to it. Or you can use someone else phone and acitvate your dji pocket 3 then delete the app. The app cna see your dji pocket 3 footage. Not sure about the company itself.

Unfortunately you need to connect to a phone to a activate your dji pocket 3. This is a requirement. You can borrow a friends phone to do it. Once activated you dont need the app.anympre unless you are doing remote recording.

it's for CCP compliance purposes in the PRC. DJI is a semi-autonomous company with ties to the Chinese state. In China you're not permitted to use computer equipment, drones, smart TVs, mobile phones or tablets without some form of activation process that links your ID to the device. The export versions get a "lite" version of these provisions but still require an account to setup so as to prevent circumvention of the enslavement tools used for the docile PRC population..

Having written, 'Excellent presentation,' and still think so. Alas your viewers should be aware, correct me if I'm wrong, my Samsung A51 is not one of their supported phones. Perhaps you could have your viewers check the supported devices if they desperately want to use the Mimo ap.

I am so livid !!!!! Went on vacation with one experience in mind - to take video of fish under water . I was never able to finish activation. It kept saying “ activation failed”. In between activation trials it allows you to use it , so I was at the beach trying to take a video and the camera kept giving me a message of “ camera not available- the camera is hot“ ( something to that effect ) WTH? This is a camera for diving and going to the beach . Sun is expected !!!!

This camera is not waterproof!! I think you are talking about the dji action camera.

resolved now - I had to return the first unit which i had. The 2nd unit no overheating issue! So if you do have it report it to DJI by speaking with them on Chat.
