All of this is great but how do you put in a microsoft account in your iPhone after your work has migrated you from one microsoft Tenant to another?

What about the one-time purchase option of the basic office apps? Does it work as well on iOS ?

Home and student (one time purchase) are designed for one device only either PC or Mac, so it doesn't give you access on mobile, web or premium features. you can use the office app on mobile which give some free access, but doe does not give access to your content from pc on mobile. for this we would always recommend Microsoft 365 family or personal.

you never explained, what if the user has purchased O365 subscription from app store and then we are not able to activate Office 365 because the subscription is on app store but not on Microsoft Account.
