Using your bed to organize is a huge tip. Also, I like to use boxes to categorize things. I have a bunch of random camera things or dirt bike parts. My tip is to use a small box and fill it with like items. Once it’s full, you can get a bigger box and put everything in it or get another box. You can then set the box aside with a label and stack them as needed. You can eventually figure out where to put them or organize later on. But this at least gets it out of the way and stacking the box will make lots of room to continue cleaning.

It helps to think of all the good things she did for you: no matter how small, they are the reflection of the good in her. I was looking at how to keep my room tidy. I have a total of 9 days off from work, every day was a specific area. Day 1 was my bedside table which was a complete mess, it's now not super tidy but i don't have a pile of stuff on it, i.e nothing is stacked on it. Day 2 was my windowsill, it's right by my bed which makes it a go to for putting stuff. That's been cleared and wiped down. Day 3 is the biggest day so far, took my clothes that i wear regularly and put them in the wash. Everything else went in a bag to be thrown away if it was really old or in a basket to be washed and donated. Paper and boxes tossed out, there was a pile the size of me building up that's mostly gone. Got a few boxes of old school stuff i thought I'd need but never did to get rid of. It's now a case of chipping at it day by day until it's clear. It's the monday (day 3 now), i plan to be done on Saturday or day 8 and that should be setting up a bin, and a basket for my washing. My family does have one but i do all my own clothes washing and a basket would help

Some tips for my depressed homies as a depressed homie; Breaking things down into smaller tasks like this is worse for us because of how our brains work. We already dont clean our room because we view it exactly as it's depicted here in all the minor steps and that gets overwhelming. I'd suggest instead is breaking the room down into segments. You dont have to do a full clean as long as you do different parts each day. A room cleaned in parts over 4 days is better than a room you plan to do in one that you keep putting off. Pick a spot in the room to cleanly section at random; This might be your desk/coffee table/floor/bed/shelves etc. Two bags; one for recycling, one for trash. Sort out the rubbish/cups/plates. Put things you need regularly in ease of access locations and things you rarely need away. There you go, you've cleaned 1/4th or 1/5th of your room. Tomorrow pick another spot at random and do the same so on and so fourth. The idea is to keep the scale small so you dont get overwhelmed. If need be you can fragment this into simpler steps such as sorting out only the washing, or trash, or cups/plates. We're going for doable here. If it appears overwhelming to do ALL The cups and plates, or ALL of one section, then focus on doing only the cups and plates in one section.

Cleaning is super therapeutic for me as I’ve gotten older. When I was younger I was an absolute SLOB. Dirty dishes, trash and clothes laying all over the room. Now I love cleaning and I clean my room every weekend. I typically start with the floor, and break it down into separate items like trash, clothes. And work my way up. I also start in one corner of the room and work my way to the other ones. I guess it’s just how it works for that individual person but I’m so glad I’ve gotten into cleaning weekly. Not only is it less work but just having a clean room overall is a great and relaxing feeling. I also thing I have a touch of OCD so a clean room scratches that itch! 😂

@zoeadkins90959 ай бұрын
I imagine this is a more subjective matter. Though there are better ways to store certain types of clothes, for example, it's ultimately dependent on what storage space you have and where you want them to go. If you can't figure it out on the spot, just put them somewhere and see if it calls out to you as something that bothers you, or not.
