Hey Mercy, my name is Shamira and I am a licensed cosmetologist. I’m a Straight Natural. I watched your last video about your hair falling out and shedding. Stress can do that your hair as you mentioned. But a great protein treatment and a good trim will definitely help you start your healthy natural hair journey. Let’s grow our hair out together 💫 I’m past bra strap length as well.. love you Mercy ❤️

Hi Shamira! My name is Chamira ☺️ .. I agree good protein treatments definitely help build strength and prevent breakage. I also use Hask Placenta and many other proteins I try not to over do it. I started to obsess about my growth. Now I just let my hair do it's thing. I am also getting sparkle box braids this week. I can am currently at bra strap length. 'Patience' is the key! One year ago I took Mercy's challenge of doing the '6 months' routine. I had heat damage and was under a lot of stress. One year later my results are amazing. I continue to do the '6 months' routine and determine what if any changes I need to make. I also trim/cut my own hair (no trust in those hair people) 'when needed'! Thank you Mercy.

Hi Merci , love the content …I am also a RN, I went to a black owned hair restoration and wellness center to see a trichologist when my 4C hair came out due to stress in the nape area I mean all out …he recommended all of what you stated as well as adding powdered agshwanda and chlorella to a daily hair growth smoothie to include bannana, celery, carrots, kale fruit, their brand of liquid vitamins and a detoxification/energy /stress tonic..scalp exfoliation treatments , steam treatments, scalp massages, laser light treatments, low manipulation hair styles and trims ….in three months I could make a braid and now 9 months later my head is full of thick new growth..and nape area when stretch is to the base of my neck …I am looking forward to continue this journey with you …Thank you for sharing your story…( the pain of shoulder length hair to 1/2 inch ear to ear in the nape area was traumatic, and I did not big chop,so I am still working it out , but I made it, and I invested in myself & it was worth it)

I’m here with you ladies! I’m about to literally cut my locs out. I have about 4 inches not stretched of new growth that’s not twisted so I’m going to keep that. I was about to comb them out but #1 it’s taking entirely too long. Like 30min per loc. 2. My hair is already damaged around my edges and going to have major split ends. I embrace change and I’m ready to take this on. I think this is the answer I been looking for because I been doing research all day and I think this video is conformation for me. Let’s go beautiful, let’s embrace every phase of this journey of self love self healing and healthy hair!! ❤️✨🔥

@TheQueendomNest I just combed my locs out in November last year and it took me and two of my friends to get them out in 6 days. All day and night😩. Anyway after it I got a trim and a silk press which showed me that I have a little pass my shoulder length hair. After that I have been on a grow my hair challenge so hopefully following Mercy will give me more motivation. I hope this work for you too.

Hi beautiful!! Thank you so much! I’ve been following you for a minute! I too have natural hair but I started blowing it out. I’m 53 years old and I personally can’t do the natural, but I don’t want chemicals. My hair is pretty long roughly 18-22 in. And I love the things you incorporate. I too use rice water, I tried to coffee 🤣😂. Because I love coffee! Now I’ve started making the Aloe Vera oil and the spray water. I agree I take hair vitamins and another interesting combo. It’s called “Fish, Flax & Borage Oil”. An Indian guy, friend of mine recommended that! Well I tell you what my hair started averaging Superman growth!! 😂🤣😂 I agree I drink roughly 80ounces of water and eat my green leafy veggies along with carrots. So yes it takes a lot of work. My hair wash routine is roughly 2 days!! My hair is super thick so you already know! Thank you again for being transparent and encouraging to so many people!! We love you girl! Keep it coming!!

I've been natural all but two years my life. So, I cringe everytime hair is referred to as difficult, hard. I got a relaxer at 12 and had to cut it all off at 14 (and I was happy to go back natural) this was in the early 90's. Relaxed hair took so much more work than I was use to, comb every day, salon (12-14 hours) every two weeks, all the products, lawd!. I support, applaud and cheer all the ladies on your journey. But I think how "easy" or "hard" doing something is depends on what a person is used to. My hair natural is easy breezy for me.
