A person can learn a lot from watching your videos. Some of the info you shared I knew previously but there was some I didn't know beforehand. You taught me more about the bar and chain on a chainsaw in this video than I could have hoped for. Oh to be out in the woods with a chainsaw again but alas it won't be but I can daydream though. At 25:35 I could have sworn I saw a milk maid pop in and say something. Is that another relative Buckin? Buckin you're a great teacher when it comes to maintaining your equipment. Thanks for all you do in making videos to share your expertise with those who will listen and apply. There you go again sawing a beautiful piece off that log that would make a beautiful end table top. Well that's all for today. Buckin TV off air for now. Hope you have an awesome day!

Husky bars are D009 mounts, pioneer was D007. Tough to come by those pioneer bars. A Husky bar will mount right up any of those P-series saws.
@nickdumpsterhanna36896 жыл бұрын
They p series saws have ever so slightly larger studs. They use a 9/16 nut while the husky uses a 1/2 inch, it's only about 1 mm thoug, some I've had to file a bit, some have bolted right up as u said, it's wierd
@BuckinBillyRaySmith6 жыл бұрын
bar adjuster wood not go ,, hence the fast forward powersaw filin the adjuster hole ,, this was not a bolt up ol' boy thx Ian
@yotaismygame6 жыл бұрын
I watched it, I’ve bolted multiple husky bars on my P-series saws that worked just fine. Buddy of mine recently bought a 455 with a Oregon light weight 32” bar on it. Sold me the bar and I put it on my p61 no problem. couldn’t say if my adjuster had been modified on my saw though. Btw I’m gunna make your theme song my ring tone, will be great

Snowman, your welcome. I guess I should have elaborated on that. Oregon bar mount D176 fits the 10-10 and they only offer 2 16" models, a 20", and a 24". The 24" is available on amazon for $57 and a matching chain for $20 ( smile.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=240RNDD176 )

How big of a deal is it if the oil ports on the new bar are not in the same position as the older original bar?
@stephenhair55015 жыл бұрын
Buckin, got a question about bar size. What determines the maximum bar size that can be put on a saw? I'm guessing that engine size is the main factor, but I don't know. I use a Stihl MS251 with 18" bar, but would like to go longer if possible. Not sure if or how long I could take that. More reach would be nice and not having to lean quite so much. Your thoughts my friend, would be appreciated.

How often do you flip your bars
@tonyrobbins66 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tips Buckin' Welcome to anyone new here! Oregon has the specs for each bar and bar mount designation for each spec. Once you find a bar that meets the specs of your saw, you can then search Oregon's site to find all bars of the same mount designation. Then this site has the specs of hundreds of new and old saws so you don't have to take all the measurements. www.acresinternet.com/cscc.nsf/GasbyManufacturer?OpenView If your wondering why the URL looks funny, it is because the site runs on IBM Lotus Notes Domino, not many sites use that anymore.

I thought the bar must be bent so I got a new bar an it still does it.... I don't get it ... I work in landscaping so I do use it from time to time.... Thanks brother Bill!!!!
@rodfather84256 жыл бұрын
Chain is hitting the brake housing on the inside teeth. Check that. Then check and make sure you have the correct thickness chain for the bar you have. If that stuffs all good, chains beet and needs correction
@nickdumpsterhanna36896 жыл бұрын
It could be the rakers on one side being lower than the other causing one side of the chain to take a bigger bite and pull more to one side

@BuckinBillyRaySmith6 жыл бұрын
I AM UNSAFE, AND NOT VERY GOOD AT PPE
@rodfather84256 жыл бұрын
Maple Mike I cut my pants and my boots a couple times each. I can’t be bothered to put on my brand new 4 year old chaps. There in the ropes and block and tackle bag. I feel ya buckin. Maybe I’ll wise up after I need a stretcher. One of the worst things on this earth would be to touch your body with a sharp chainsaw.
@tonyrobbins66 жыл бұрын
I have been using a chainsaw for the past 38 years and never cut any clothing except once when I was walking with the saw off and chain guard came part way off and I hit my pants with the bar (No PPE except ear plugs) until a few years ago when a state forestry worker I knew cut himself bad and was fired from his job, and lost his insurance, thus had to pay for life flight, and hospital bills out of pocket. Now I never cut with out chaps or saw pants.
@rodfather84256 жыл бұрын
Tony Robbins I am glad you never touched a saw to your body. Savage effect. I get my chain caught on pants and shoes because I do a lot of brush work in landscaping in tight quarters. I’m inspired that you are the best sawman but I got my ways and 20 years of selling firewood and climbing trees I have not cut myself either!!! Thank the Lord.
