I just programmed a W211 EIS from a junkyard. It successfully generated a password. I finished the procedure. The red light went on then off but the key doesn't turn. Hmm, I wonder if this key is compatible with this EIS.

Yes. Only one kind of key. Maybe something else is wrong. Like the esl. For example, when the ESL is malfunctioning, the cluster will stay dark when you put the key in.

From your experience, how reliable are those blank keys in the long run? I know the moment you program it, it starts, unlocks, locks fine. But a few months later, any customer comeback for issues? I am sure they may not use NEC or Siemens chips. Thats why i ask.

I have used to have a lot of problems back in the days, so I have switched to the fobs with double battery they seems to work pretty well I don’t have callbacks anymore.

How do you know which IR key you need for a 2012 Mercedes C250. Its a BE key with FCC ID IYZDC07. They have the same key with different IDs example IYZ3312. Would this key work?

In the USA there is only one model i believe it’s “IYZ-3312 / 315 MHz”

Thanks for your support. GBox is only for AKL. This method will be for most of them adding a key from around 2004 to 2014 depends on the model.

Small town, fewer people, never had an AKL-situation (here they probably call car tossers). You also need to get into the car, else everythein else is worthless 🙂 Can not justify Lishis (you need a bunch, and also know how to use them on different locks). Just bought one to train on (but a Schlage is not like any car-lock) But I have a nice kit of AccessTools USA, but never used them live (just practised with them).

Honestly, it’s a hit or miss some of them are good, but then turns bad so you always need to change suppliers.

In the Europeans, you need to have more experience to know which one is which I would highly recommend at least to start from what you see that can be done and gain some experience to do more in the future. As more as you do, you get better, but be very careful to do specifically the models that you see that can be done, because sometimes a slight different can put you in a big trouble. But definitely adding the key to a Mercedes in this way has almost no danger at all.

You just need to look up in the Internet and find there is no one place that say all. This is why the European cars are more complex to do

It is not a studio. Made in open air. Me, myself, think this as about some of the best videos. It is long enough to show all, and not with a lot of void and irellevant stuff spending 3 times the time to watch and get same info. And it is short enough to show it all and not cut corners. 7 minutes is real fast, with all you need IMHO. There is also a lot prep before made. But if you have the programmer, you know these parts.
