What I don’t get is how you hooked it all up to the DJ equipment? I want to be able to play live keyboard with my original tracks live as I DJ with CDJs. Great videos any help is appreciated!

Have you watch Hotel Transylvania 3? If not, try looking it up because it has some DJ music at the end of the movie. My favorite DJ music from the movie was the evil kraken song called Seavolution/Wave Rider. I bet you can play that evil song near the ocean to summon a kraken.

Enferno, I'm thinking of adding the mininova to my DJ set alongside my Toraiz sp16 and RC505 Loopstation. My question is Do you pack all of your stuff to every gig nowadays or do you select what gear you are bringing based on remixes you plan to perform?

@@djsinless Nice! I've developed my rig into using the least amount of equipment to do the most. Just Maschine mk3 and a 49-key Launchkey. The instruments are all virtual. Looks like you're using hardware, and that's cool too. Do you have any videos of you performing with that setup? I'd like to see.

Great tutorial! I now have encountered a problem, Is it possible to use the same midi keyboard for both beats and keys? I'm using a launchkey 32 and as soon as I added both drums and keys they both play at the same time on either pads or actual keys itself. I'm thinking assigning them to different channels? but I really don't know how to solve this problem.

If you've got piano training you can do it by ear. If not you can analyze the key with a program like Mixed in Key which will tag your songs with the key of the song.

Do you run Ableton behind your DJ software and use the same interface/mixer to output Ableton?

Same mixer...different interface. Before I started using Serato DJ, I used Serato Scratch Live using a Rane interface. I then used the Pioneer DJM900NXS (or DJM900NXS2) as the interface for Ableton. Once I moved to Serato DJ, that no longer worked because I use Club Kit for Serato DJ which always tries to run Serato DJ through the DJM900. I've had problems in the past using the same interface for both Ableton and Serato at the same time. I also had problems doing this when I was on Traktor for about 1.5 years. Audio dropouts made it impossible.
