Very nice! Suggestion: To get much more views I suggest you look into how to upgrade a 3 gallon or 6 gallon pancake air compressor to be able to handle more demanding tools. Why for this particular model? Because these models are sold in thousands and thousands of them by Walmart and many other stores. If with some minor upgrade they could become more powerful many more people will visit your video to do the upgrade. Best wishes.

*Great video. I have a question. The gauge regulates the pressure for both tanks? does the second tank need its own gauge if its better than the tank with motor?*
@007connecticut Жыл бұрын
Yes it will be static pressure on the system on both tanks and lines. So if your add on tank is only good for 125psi, you may want to adjust your regulator so the system pressure won't go above that.

@@007connecticut *Okay thanks. I believe my tank have the same max psi, the auxiliary tank is just bigger*

Does using the big air tank cost you a lot of electricity? Do you have any pros and cons to using a big air tank?
@007connecticut Жыл бұрын
It takes a few minutes more to fully pressurize. If you use it every day, just leave it pressurized. I don't see a few minutes more of run time causing the electric bill being higher. The good with a bigger tank, the compressor has more capacity so the motor runs less in the shop. Plus you can run bigger tools because you have 30 gallons of air running your tools VS a 5 pound compressor that doesn't have the capacity and your motor will never stop running, or it won't ever be fully pressurized. Not enough compressor or not enough air tank really effects your performance.

@@007connecticut that makes sense. I think I’ll be going with the bigger tank. Thank you for the info!

Air compressor are built to run. It's funny how everyone talks about how well burn out. I work in a body shop and we have compressors on all day long running for 12 hours. Cheap ones die. Quality ones run for thousands of hours /years. Lastly get a good one with a decent warranty. Compressors aren't a lifetime purchase. Adjust your expectations and you won't need to baby them.

Even that old one is better than 20 years old. Surprisingly being an oil-less compressor. I had another small one rust out on the tank so I junked it. That's why I bought the new one out back.

do I need a safety valve?
@007connecticut2 жыл бұрын
Yes, use the one off of your tank. The safety valve is the thing where you pull on it air bleeds out. If your regulator screws up you don't want your tank exploding.
