How to Add Bluetooth to your Custom Built PC

I've had my PC for a little under 2 years and my Bluetooth completely gave out today, I've been going a little insane trying to find a way to get it working, but I've wasted hours with no results. I won't say this video is a life saver, but it sets my mind at ease to know it's not entirely uncommon for people to just resort to an adapter. Thanks for the recommendation.

I just saw your older video actually, then came to this one. Question about this new adapter though: have you had any connection issues or delays using it? I’ve been looking to change my set up to all wireless but also don’t wanna have to deal with connection issues mid games etc etc

i went through a bunch of usb bluetooth adapters too, different brands etc. they work for a while, 2 to 10 months i'd say. then they just suddenly quit, usually can still "see" bluetooth devices but won't actually connect. pull it, insert another bluetooth usb adapter, works again until the next time. idk why its so hard to add blue tooth to a desktop computer... that just Works. don't have this issue with laptops usually. why desktop pcs don't have bluetooth built into all motherboards, just like many have wifi built in.

The device you are recommending in this video is for Bluetooth 4. The current version of Bluetooth is 5.3. What do you recommend for Bluetooth 5.3? Stick with TP-Link?

Yes and no. I would still recommend that wifi card for the Wifi part, but for bluetooth, I say get the small usb adapter

I bought mine and plugged it then it worked for a while and just stops transmitting the sound to my headphones immediately. It requires me to restart everything for it to reconnect again. Any recommendations on how to fix this issue?😔

There will always be a delay, but it will be so small you won't notice it, so it won't impact your gameplay negatively. I think all PCs are compatible, don't quote me on that. You can always go to your closest PC store to ask for advice.

Sorta confusing…is this for a computer that already has blu tooth or not? I built a computer but the blu tooth on/off setting does not show in the settings/blu tooth section of my windows 11…not sure if i need this device or a device from your previous video about this or both?

if the bluetooth doesn't show up in your settings it means your motherboard doesn't support bluetooth. you could get a PCIe that's bluetooth compatible but the adapter is much cheaper and in my opinion just smarter since you could use those PCIe slots for more storage

so i got it and while playing my controller kept jumping around and what not, i followed the direction to install the drivers and i get a 1310 code when installing the drivers. after it bot working i gave up. i tried to see if it worked with another game and it worked fine but the controller mapping is all over the place, when i go to button layout it inly gives me mouse and keyboard even though im connected and using a controller.

mapping keys is a separate issue bro, the fact you can't get to that stage shows it ain't a bluetooth issue, more of a YOU issue,.

I just bought another controller(same brand) plugged in the adapter and was able to connect just fine buttons did what they were supposed to with out having to mess with the settings or download any software just plugged the USB Bluetooth and sync my new controller and worked fine
