How to Add Depth with a Collage Layer / Art with Adele

HOW TO ADD DEPTH WITH A COLLAGE LAYER / Working with multi-layers can add so much depth and richness to abstract painting. The foundation goes in first, then some added layers to spice it up, then more layering to add some complexity, and then voila....it’s done. In today’s KZbin video you’ll watch me work on four pieces at a time that already have several layers on them. The next layer is the collage one.

1001 Thanks. Last time I did collage it was for creating historical and background for fashion, about 50 years ago. I start to do this beautiful art, and beautiful part of my life, but... I use papers, magazines and what ever I find. They got wrinkles, SOS, please. Stay safe and lots of love

I use acrylic medium to adhere the collage pieces. This has always worked well for me.

Hi Adele, love all your videos. How do I keep my collage pieces in place before I glue them? When gluing them I need to remove them and the I loose the structure of the collage and forget where I have placed them. It’s super annoying 😂 any tips would be amazing

Yes, you can absolutely combine paint brands. I think it’s fun to do that actually. I get my China markers in any art store. They are also known as grease pens. 🌸

Adele Which paint do you suggest I go with high flow or heavy body? I've never bought really good acrylic paint so I'm not real sure.

I use Golden fluid paint which is a cross between heavy body and high flow.
