It’s absolutely breathtaking to see how much effort, passion and time you devote to your work and self development as an artist. It is extremely motivational to see someone around my age be so dedicated and self-motivated in a creative field.

In my opinion Makoto Shinkai kinda overuses the lens flare effect too Great video btw, we are basically getting free classes from a pro, I couldn't be more grateful for finding your channel, it helps me a lot
@tomixparker31265 жыл бұрын
Nah man, animators avoid it cuz it's basically difficult to do in 2d animation. Lens flare adds realism and beauty to shots which makoto perfectly understands

you could animate in black and white no problem. you could hire a colourist if you felt like it holds you back

Im colorblind too, it makes the process taken a little longer, but creating your color pallets and writing down color codes will make it to where you can animate in color no problem

I absolutely love watching the process of your work and hearing your tips. I'm mostly self taught in animation, so there are a lot of things I don't really know about it; and the videos you make are genuinely helpful! Also: How can you make/add a soft blending brush into animate? I've always wanted to try having softer shading in animation, but I'm not sure if it's possible- (if exclusively done in animate?)

actualy, lens flares are super comon in glass and water droplets, i first noticed this before knowing what a lens flare is, i was really young, but i was curious and kinda "studied it" (i was that curious), i was on a pool and was wearing swimming googles and the droplets in them as i was out of the water did them, and i noticed depending on angle, quantity of water, location and a lot more, changed the flare so much, from its shape to its color even, i been low key interested in the variety and creativity one can be with them ever since and i must say, i seen everithing from lines, exagons, circles and worms/letters... and i dont think i seen half of what one can do
