All of my magical moments involve music!!! Singing in the car with my mom, listening to my significant other playing guitar, performing in my musical theater class, going to concerts, making playlists, listening to old songs… never thought about that until now!

I sometimes have to consciously create magical moments because it's so easy to get swept up in the hamster wheel of life. And magical moments don't have to be huge, once-in-a-lifetime things. Like you said, they can be everyday things like the way the light shines through the trees. For me most recently it was the way the sunrise rays hit the snow. That golden glisten? 👌

The other day I sat in a massively delayed train and a stranger asked if the place next to me was free. We talked for two hours about the world and hobbies and our home cities and I helped him get a ticket to get around my city later. When he was gone I realized that this was the first time in years I didn't even mention my job in such a situation. Was kinda magical :D

My magical moments are just every tiny moments of feeling happy, smiling with my heart, earn a tiny victory. It’s hard to see there are still magic things happening to you when you’re in a bad state but I really appreciate being able to watch your videos and find some sort of connection to relate to what you’re saying!
@traversatile34712 жыл бұрын
I innately know that I feel magic from nature, sunshine, fresh air, etc. but I always felt those sources of happiness have been stolen from me. I currently live in a moldy house on a busy street in the city and nature is not within walking distance. I try to settle for the tiny moments of a tree on my block blooming in spring or a bird landing in my yard but otherwise, everything is dead, out of sight, or killed by humans. It is disheartening and the only "advice" I had ever received is to get sunshine which would only work for like half the year. So it is very refreshing to hear these tangible, non-nature-related ways to increase happiness, it has opened my eyes to other sources beyond the ones I don't have access to 🌻

Loved this video! Forcing my brain to linger on positive thoughts of being healed has healed me of some debilitation skin and digestive disorders. Of course I also prayed like crazy, but this method of focusing on positive thoughts for much longer has helped me. (I HAVE to get away from society and distractions in order to do this).

There are great ideas, and I agree, we all should put in the effort to have more of all of these moments in our lives. The nature topic reminded me of a funny thing that happened a few months ago. I wanted to have a taco picnic with my husband in the park. It was the perfect day, we went and got a pile of tacos and Mexican drinks from the taco truck. We had the perfect spot in the park at a picnic table shaded under a tree. We weren't there two minutes when a wasp started buzzing around me. I HATE wasps and have a severe fear of them and no matter where I am, I will run from that wasp like a lunatic, screaming and flailing my arms. His buddies decided to join him AND PROCEED TO LAND ON MY FOOD (the audacity!!) so I told my husband we had to leave. I was not eating my food anymore, so he took his food and we jumped in the car and drove further down the park, leaving all my tacos behind. We came across another picnic table. My husband shared his food with me and it was perfect. Until it wasn't... We got bullied by a mad squirrel that literally chased me on top of the picnic table. needless to say, I ran to the car and we haven't had a picnic since. But I'll always remember that day in the park haha :)

This is why I don’t understand the negative stereotype about Americans talking to people in public. It’s meant to be polite. I get that it is also sometimes polite to leave people alone, but it bothers me a lot whenever I travel to Europe or the UK that I get looked at like a psycho for saying hello to a stranger. 😅
@hannaivarsson952 жыл бұрын
I'm Swedish and live in Sweden, I love talking to new people but only when I'm in the mood for it, its hard to explain 😅 When I was a little girl my mom warned me from talking to strangers, and she always got so uncomfortable around strangers that wanted to talk to her, so I think its imprinted in us européens from a young age that you don't talk to strangers 🙈
