Beta fish are warm water type of fish(tropical) but moss balls are freshwater and they usually are for cold water

Moss balls can survive almost every temperature of water. They aren't picky, they thrive everywhere

Average yearly temperature of lake Akan is in the 30s F. If you keep them in a tropical tank you'll have to refresh them in the fridge once a week or so.

I know I'm dumb but wouldn't those moss balls be full of chlorine? That can't be all that good for them and I rinse everything I put in my aquarium in properly treated de-chlorinated water just to be safe.

Raybe B Personally, I recommend washing them off with tank water and empty them of the old water. Putting them in chlorine does more harm than good.

Well he could be on a well and not city water. My well water is so fish friendly that I dont need to do anything to it before I add it to my tanks.....

Moss balls can't survive in chlorine water, and he did rinse them first.

You really don’t need to rinse them speak them then rinse again it’s just unnecessary.... unpack them rinse them a bit in conditioned water and toss them in the tank
