They need to allow users to be door attendants and incorporate it into the identity app. Then the users will only need one app for Wi-Fi, VPN, doors and intercom.

Great video. Ubiquiti needs to fix the issue with requiring door attendants to be admins. This is an obvious oversight on their part.

Thanks! Could you eventually use chimes and disable the notifications for the users? They would have to open the app when the chime sounds, buy would remove the notifications problem. Of course they lose remote calls when not at home. Does It make sense?

Can you assign multiple devices to each entry? I'm going to set this up as a gate access intercom at a personal residence and want the directory to show: Main House, Guest House and Shop, each of which will have an access viewer, but I'd love it if it also pushed a notification to the owners iphone Access app, so if a delivery arrives when he is not home, he can answer it through the app and open the gate. Is that possible? (So when someone pushed Main House, it would simultaneously ring the main house access viewer and the owners access app on mobile)

Hi great video. With your phone demo does the phone needs to be on the same network as the door access? Or can the phone connect to other private network and just have internet access to login to Unifi account?

Good video. Bummer about notification issue, would like to use this in a 21 unit building, that is a deal breaker. Can the intercom call provided numbers for people in the directory? Typically they would press a number to unlock the door. Keep the videos coming. Thanks.

Thanks for the vid! A few questions: 1. Is there a way to create a button wich says "Call everyone" on the doorphone? This is practical in places where garbage collection comes in the morning and the first who answers can open the door for him so he can come in to collect garbage at the ground floor. 2. Is there a way to enable "live preview" automatically on the talk phones in the same way that the indoor panel works? Thanks!

Yes, you can do this in two ways, either you can remove the directory and just have the bell button call all users. Or you could add a directory entry and have it call everyone. I'm not sure about the phone, I will have to look into that, my suspicion is no you can't.

I don’t think so, but I’m going to take a more in depth look at the intercom in a video soon and we’ll see what can be achieved. Unifi often release changes with Firmware so it may be something they allow in the future. It makes a lot of sense when it is used as a gate intercom for a private residence to just have one option to call.

@@home.network.solutions in europe usecase and user behave is different then in us. For example if you have a house with 3 apartments the display would show all 3 names directly. So if you would showcase this it would be a big help for me. I am worring people here would be to confused to click on directory and then select the name as we dont use such systems over here :D

That's right the call comes through to the app and they can speak to the person, see the video feed and unlock the door.

I am looking at this to replace an old Videx device on my gate. I just want it to call my phone and my wife's phone when someone presses the call button though. Will that be what happens if we are both set up as Door Attendants? I dont really want to have the Flat 1 etc showing on the intercom. Maybe I just need a G2 reader pro instead??
