I have had the system running for 3 months now. Unfortunately, it is still very unreliable with German license plates

Did you talk with Ubiquiti technical support? Can they fix this?

@ Not yet. The system does not recognize any Ö Ä Ü. At short entrances, the recognition causes problems, if you drive too fast in the zone, it is very often not recognized correctly. I have been in contact with ubiquiti for weeks.
