*REMEMBER:ALWAYS use jack stands when lifting a car. The only thing stopping you from getting killed is oil^^^ & jacks do fail quite often!*

Always use jack stands for sure! My brother used a jack with no stands to lift his car once. The car fell on him. Luckily the neighbor heard him and came to help. He could’ve died

And put on flat surface! some people use it on a little hill, even if it's a small hill, it can de-stabilize enough if enough pressure is pushed when you try to loosen a bolt etc, and rocky surface, I live in a flat which has a alley and parking for the 10 residents but it is not paved anymore so it is very rocky and full of potholes, I wouldn't lift my celica on that axle stands, small rock can get stuck under and slip, I go on a countryside road for stuff that isn't engine or bodywork related which is used by farmers as it is flat and my town is small and quiet so no traffic.

You are correct. I said same thing. I just literally had a brand new Jack and it had a load on it and it just collapsed str8 down it would've def killed someone if they were under it. That Jack was a heavy duty Orillia sold Jack brand named ac Delco

Buddy of mine when I was a kid came home from school on Halloween and found his stepfather laying under the car in the driveway, he thought it was a Halloween prank til he found out it wasnt. Horrible occurance that could've been avoided. Never ever trust a jack for long term support.

Good video. The reason why you pump the jack 20 times with the valve open is to let out any air that may have entered the jack
@hungtang48137 жыл бұрын
I said in the video, I don't know about 20 times pumps. Just read some where to do it lol. Thank you for your comment!

If you put it under your car to put a load on it, you would then bleed it exactly as you do brakes and it will bleed better and with less effort

@@hungtang4813Just got a Jack for free and the person that had it before me gave me a couple small bearings he said fell out when he drained it. Said they came from the side part where you can screw it down with a flat head. Can you help me put it right I can’t find anything on the internet. It’s just a little 1 ton trolley Jack if that info is needed. Any response is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hung Tang What happen if I unscrew the one it say Do Not Adjust? What does that screw do? I even took out the release valve also to drain all my old fluid and put new fluid in it. Because I have problem leaking oil and it wont go up as high. So I change all the seal and then it still wont lift up as high or wont lift at all. But it did fix the leak cause I replaced the seal inside. Please help me and what should I do?

You have to stand the jack up and fill till the fluid comes to the hole, if you lay it down it fills it full and thats not right, its only a boittle jack in a stand, u fill them standing

I honestly didn't know the cheap trolly Jack's were servicable till I bought a real floor jack from harbor freight.lt had a piece of paper glued to the jack saying fill it up and bleed it out.i have thrown a few of them out not knowing any better.this will definitely save me some cash

@atye047 жыл бұрын
they're all a bit different. new Orings is the best to keep it from leaking again tho. one on the fill plug and one one the adjustment/lowering screw. I just tiped mine up on end and filled from the adjustment screw maybe pull the little spring deal and ball bearing out with a magnet or by typing it to empty it then invert it upright with whatever valve is easiest and fill it bottom to top style. jiggle the handle with it full it bubbles then sucks the fluid down in it. chose to empty the old black fluid out first so it took like 1-2 hours of add a little jiggle the pump then add alittle. till absolutely zero bubles come out. then just bottom out the pump handle and put the innards and screw back in. good as new. I even used a mix of 20w-50 and wd40 though they don't mix well but it's alot better than the old stuff apparently. functions perfect. if the new stuff is too thick you're gunna take 5 hours to fill it. so don't do what I did. use the actual Jack oil.
@DontDodgeIt...RamIt...Dammit. Жыл бұрын
Yeah the problem I'm having with mine is there is no fill hole, just a small purge hole and the adjustment screw. But I can remove the cylinder rod where the handle goes to crank it up

By bleeding it like that it’s pointless you’re just sucking the air in and out you need to pump open hold tighten release the fill screw and repeat by doing that your bleeding and giving a blood transfusion at the same time 😊
