Working On My Floor Jack Adding hydronic jack Fluid

I am doing some maintenance on my floor jack. My hydro lid floor jack is starting to get old. It’s a Torin Big Red pro series 7000 3.5 ton Single cylinder hydronic jack. I really like this jack and don’t feel like buying a new one. I have done no maintenance to my jack and owned it over 15 years. I might of overfilled the jack cause fluid came out after I pressurized the jack. Yet it easily lifted my Toyota Camry so I could replace the rotor, caliper, and pads.

Hi let me clarify my previous question. In order to replace the Orings seal from those 2 pistons do I need a special tool to compress the spring ?

Well this video is kind of up my alley. I've always used my cars jack to lift the car. But I wanted to try using a hydraulic jack, so I got one. First time using it the wheels of the jack sank into the asphalt and when I went to release the jack from the car the whole assembly wouldn't budge cause the wheels couldn't roll. Have you ever encountered this problem? Thanks

It must of been really hot outside for the wheels to sink into the asphalt. I would recommend a piece of plywood for under the jack. The wheels need to move to raise or lower the jack, what did you do to lower your jack?

@@billstools5244 I used the car's jack to lift the car above the height of the hydraulic jack. Then pulled away the hydraulic. It was an average warm day for late spring, no heat wave or anything. I was thinking of using plywood, but still worried the wheels would sink into that too.

You should see if they sell a seal kit for it if your loosening oil

A neighbor opened the relief valve too far and oil came out back of piston.

Greetings from miami. I have the same jack as you have and I have a problem, hopefully You can help me since i cant find enough information. l every time I do the pumping to lift the vehicle the oil leaks from those cylinders, do you think that I can repair myself or require especial tools .should I send it to the factory for repair. Thanks in advance

I have not seen any plugs on mine, but then again, its a cheapo and its lasted 10 years. Cant complain. What video effect did you use on the last part, just curious.

As long as it works. The video effect was a mistake. This was the first video I used final cut pro x. That program offers a lot for editing yet overwhelming at first

Are hydronic jacks anything like hydraulic jacks?

I have this same exact jack....and it stopped working yesterday when I needed to get my car off the jack stands....saw that it was empty ....went and got jack oil and now the jack won't raise up when I pump the handle.....any idea of what the issue could be? Thanks

Mine goes up and down. It won't go up and tried bleeding, filling etc. Only used a few times. Not a fan of this jack anymore.
