Actually you can totally edit the sound by click on the little pencil icon next to the "Effect" section. When you hover over it, it will say "edit sound envelope" and that will allow you to do things like a fade in/out, general volume level, etc.

As far as I know, editing the sound envelope is only possible in actionscript, not html5.

when i inserted the audio into the layer and played it at the exact keyframe i want it to play it wont play the audio , the audio will ONLY play it if its from the start and only from the start.. can you help me with this problem? ;w; ( or anyone? )

Okay so chose create a new file and in the type thing click on "AIR for Desktop", it allowed me to stream my audio

hey, cool explaination - thank you for sharing. do you have an idea why adobe animate is not importing mp3 or aiff anymore?? ... it only accepts certain WAVs ... and adds terrible sound to it after exporting. i would appreciate any idea since i am trying formats for hours now. . . it is impossible to export a simple click on a button.

quite possibly it's to do with your hz setting. i have previously had this problem. I.e. in my case it wasn't recognizing 48hz, so I changed sample rate to 44hz, then reimported the foles no problems

Still doesn't work. The only thing that kinda works is if you copy and paste the track to the frame, but it'll only play once from the beginning and not in between. This is so frustrating.

The sync via stream does work but you've to make a whole new layer to put the sound name selection in properties over again. The sync should already be set to stream at that point then the new sound layer will play from the start and wherever your cursor ends up like a normal player. It's best to start from scratch with certain stuff

Actually they may be MP4 i was also having the same problem convert them to mp3 then it should be fine

Basically see this sync option at 2:17 at the sound tab? set it to stream so it will play the sound from any frame (kinda late answer but someone will need this as well). Have one thing on caution, it will slow down the preview performance.
