Couldn't figure out how to get it to lean back. Thought it was the tilt tension knob. Didn't know the seat height adjustment level had that dual function. That was super frustrating, but now I know it's an easy fix. Woot woot, thanks!

It's simple videos like this that really come in handy and save the day! Just purchased a chair for my dad for Christmas and I thought the Tilt was broken. All I had to do was pull the lever out a bit just like it said in the video and BAM!! Working like a charm now. Thankfully I didn't break the chair as I was just trying to force it for 15 min straight. I wish I could like this video 10M times just for how awesome that is. Thanks for knowing there is idiots like me out there that need the simple office chair explained.

Boy, did I NEED this video!!! I never can figure out what is clockwise and/or counter clockwise, so I wasn't doing it right on my new chair. When he turned to big nob, I was able to SEE the direction I needed to go with my hand. THANK YOU!!!!! It was driving me crazy!!!

Bruh I locked my tilt and thought I broke the chair 😂 I knew not what the power I sat on. The chair upstairs is tilt locked and I thought mine was just defective. Wow learning is fun!

You saved my sanity just now. I love that you recognized that we might be frustrated. I said, right out loud, "yeah!" lol Your great customer service person chatted with me about solutions for this new chair. The way it is now, I can't recline much bc my feet don't reach all the way on the floor (my body is big, not tall). We decided I'll try a foot stool for now, but is there a way to lower the hydraulic cylinder? When the cylinder died in my old chair, it lowered quite a bit. So...can we do it on purpose? hahahahaha Can we? All this would have been avoided if I had a car, so I could try out chairs at a store. I tried to find the right one online by the measurements. I guess an inch or two are very important.

Question: So if you want your chair to be able to tilt, do you just leave the lock lever out -- don't push it back in? Or, is there a way to set the lock so that your chair is in a stable, fixed, chosen degree of tilt? I've been trying for 15 minutes now to set the amount of tilt of my chair to a desired angle and just KEEP IT THERE by engaging the lock, but that is not happening. My choices seem to be either upright, with the lock locked, or in motion, with the lock unlocked.

How can you adjust how the seat itself leans forward or back. I feel like I'm going to slide forward a bit and that is extremely uncomfortable. I have a gaming chair with the same type of swivel tile mechanism. I just want to have the front part of the chair that is where your knees are to tilt up a bit so I don't feel like I'm going to slide forward. Thanks.

3:24 I used to use this tilt tension knob to adjust to lean back and forth too. But why there are chairs I tested as I want to buy a new chair, they have this knob but turn very few, so lean back also very little, (just maybe 2 degrees). Worse, there are online chairs that I was interested (i.e vidalxl 20034 20037) having this tilt adjment knob, but when asking the shop, they answer that these chairs have only height adjustment, no tilt! So why this knob on photo then? Just for fun?
