Usually I put something under the pad like a zip tie on both sides so I can push right against the pads. I use another zip tie to hold the brakes levers under tension so that I can use 2 hands on the cable and nut. I find it easier when you are just 1 person adjusting

Thanks for you input. Yes I think that is a good way of doing it too.

Tiny wheels is the rear brake and front brake same way of handling like the way you did. Thanks in advance

You can watch how to install rear rack for the rear brake set up. But the basic and the process is the same.

Thank you. A very informative video. Would appreciate it if you could do a video on adjusting the derailleur on a 6 Speed. to improve chain shift.

Thanks for the video. However, should the left/right positioning be done first, before setting the brake pads distance from the rim?
@TinyWheelsTH4 жыл бұрын
Up to you. You should loose the screw to center the brake first.. The distance between brake pads and rim should be around 2-4 mm depending on personal preference Hope that helps.

My front brakes are activating when I turn my front wheels left or right. How do I troubleshoot this?
@TinyWheelsTH2 жыл бұрын
Maybe the cable is too short? Maybe you don't have cable stopper if your bike does not have a mudguard.

I did the same thing but after awhile the brake would become mis-aligned again

Maybe try tighten the screw more that hold the brakes in place more?
