Very nice video man! Tons of info... But one question at 1:30 the measurement of 20-30mm is starting from bottom end of the chain and at what point is the top indicator ending? Thanks in advance...
@thesportztourer4 жыл бұрын
Hi! First you can begin by roughly selecting a center point in between the front and rear sprocket like shown in the video, from there try to force the chain down and up (vertically), the total distance from bottom point to top point is your chain slack. Thanks a lot for valuing and appreciating the content on the channel, really means a lot to me 😊 I have explained something similar but in more detail over here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJfVopqZnZpsg5o

Hi bro need your help!! 2 days back i cleaned my Dominar 400 UG chain sprocket. In that process removed front sprocket for cleaning and placed as it is but the problem that while riding i can feel one side of the chain is smooth and free and another side tight and hard and also by rotating the wheel i can see the difference i tried to fix but no luck so today morning i took to service center they just loosen little more and they said fixed. While coming back to my home again i face same issue. Can you please help me out. Thanks
@thesportztourer4 жыл бұрын
Hi! This seems to be a problem with alignment (check the marked indicators on both sides of the rear axle). Other things to look for is wear and tear on a particular sprocket teeth and frozen chain links.

Another thing I wanted to ask, I have seen TVS Service Centre follow certain practice. They usually make other co-workers to sit on the riders and pillion seat. And they set the chain slack wrt the weight consideration of both the rider and pillion. I find it unusual though because most of the time due to this practice the chain slack is more(loose chain) than the prescribed company settings.( Provided that the motorcycle is in standstill condition without any load on her) What are your views on this?
@Amex155 жыл бұрын
Yes i have also seen it & asked them they replied It is mentioned in there TVS service center Manual edition 2018.
@thesportztourer5 жыл бұрын
Hi Suraj & Ameya, That can be done but the required slack will be different from the standard slack plus the weight on the motorcycle is not specific to the rider. It's different but not a wrong practice 😊

@prithvinayak8443 Жыл бұрын
There are torque recommendations in the bike’s owner’s manual for such bolts. It basically tells you how tight it should be for optimum performance of that nut. If you tighten it more it may cause issues, if you tighten it less it may come out due to vibration. There a tool called torque wrench which is used where you can set the tightness number ( torque value given in manual) in the tool and then tighten it. It stops at that value and will indicate that the tightness has reached the value required. Torque wrenches are a bit expensive though.
@thesportztourer Жыл бұрын

I would like to tell one important point here, Dominar, pulsar 200 ns, KTMs all come with side stands only. This creates a lot of pain in properly aligning the chain, you may feel you have done perfect alignment by checking the engraved marks on both the sides but unfortunately when wheel is made into action at higher speeds you will hear a gushing sound of chain which annoys a lot.

For a Dominar owner like me, your videos are most helpful. Thank you for those. I've done a little more than 11500km on my Feb 2018 model. A problem I face regularly is the chain becoming slack and I need to keep adjusting it almost every weekend. I'm wondering if the quality of the chain has been kept low, causing it to stretch out more easily. Should I shift to a Rolon X-ring chain/sprocket kit available at sniper-auto.com?
