glad to see a coilover video of someone who knows how to adjust them, too many videos of people adjusting their spring preload instead of doing it correct haha

I wonder if they plan on keeping the scion models but under the Toyota brand like they do in Japanland

I hear just the FR-S, iA and iM will be rebranded as Toyotas, everything else will be scratched.

To raise the car, how is turning to the right "counter-clockwise?" Wouldn't turning to the left be counter-clockwise?
@DougDrifts7 жыл бұрын
Haha, I guess if you're moving your hand its to the left, but I guess I was thinking spinning to the right if it's like a clock.

if the spring is held tightly by the top 2 locks, can you just turn the entire spring with your hands instead using the coilovers wrenches or is that bad?
@DougDrifts7 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say it's bad, but make sure you're rotating the whole thing and not just the spring! The threaded part is what moves in and out of the sleeve, raising the car up and down.

Sir can you help me i did the same procedure i increase the ride height of my car upon turning collar b counter clockwise the whole assembly turn except the coil spring.. Is that ok? Because on your vid i saw that the spring is also turning.. Did i mess up With my preload? By the way my coilovers is yellowspeed thanks in advance
@DougDrifts8 жыл бұрын
+joseph civic Hey! The spring not turning is fine, you probably have 0 preload set. As long as the two top collars are against each other, you should be ok! If your spring didn't turn, just double check that there isn't too much play in the spring (meaning you can move it up and down freely with ease.

+Doug Drifts +Doug Drifts +Doug Drifts hey thanks for the quick response.. After i adjust the ride height i checked the springs and there is no play meaning i can't moved the springs.. Is that ok if my pre load is set at 0? Thanks man!
@DougDrifts8 жыл бұрын
+joseph civic Different manufacturers recommend different preload settings. I'd check with yellowspeed, but I run 0 preload on my PBMs.

+Doug Drifts thanks man appreciated so much! I do hope 0 pre-load is the right setting for my yellowspeed!
