What would the process look like when properly calibrating hdr? Normally I like having dynamic tone mapping on in the tv settings. To get the correct image in game should you actually: 1) turn dynamic tone mapping off 2) calibrate hdr in ps5 settings 3) in game set max luminance to match that of your tv Is that the correct process?

Hi there love the video I have a question I saw you did a post a while ago about world of tanks console the game does not use the Xbox series x calibration app as the game has its own HDR slider and I play on the LG C1 and your honest opinion what should I set my nits to and as far as the UI exposure brightness it is default at 200 I am also using hgig any help or advice would be truly appreciated thank you so much.

@@TechnoZenGaming spider man remastered had this problem with sdr not hdr, sun is overblown and really bright so the sdr is wrong on spider man remastered

@@c-samleystudios1573 Yes. It's what is recommended for HDR (there is a paper on it). The reason PS5 and Xbox recommend you do it until barely visible is that they assume many or some people play in brightly lit rooms, and setting everything to clip may make details harder to see. So you can follow those instructions if you do play in a non-ideal HDR environment, but if you play in a very dimly lit room, set everything to clip (just disappear.)

Very good explanation! I don't know if you will answer after all that time, but when using PC to play, there's need to change Windows HDR too (that slide bar showing 2 images of a guy with a skate)? If yes, how?

Io non riesco proprio a capire… Dici che bisogna impostare su una finestra il valore del 100% e su una quelli del 10% ma a me scompaiono entrambe le finestre a 1000 nits… Io so anni che guardò video e cambio Settings di continuo tra le varie console, non ci si capisce più una mazza co tutte ste Impostazioni ormai niente è sicuro.

La luminosità di picco per alcuni televisori potrebbe essere la stessa al 100% e al 10%, ma potrebbe essere diversa per alcuni www.rtings.com/tv/tools/table/91617

@@TechnoZenGaming Ti ringrazio molto della tua risposta, ho consultato il grafico che mi hai mandato, possiedo un Q900… Il grafico di Rtings sostiene che la mia luminosità di picco sulla finestra del 10% sia circa 1000nits e invece il full screen circa 400 nits… Ma questo non può essere possibile perché a me in entrambe le schermate su PS5 e Xbox Series X scompare l immagine test a 1000 nits su entrambe le schermate.

@@J-Creed las dos deben tener el mismo valor, en tu caso 1000 nits................siempre el mismo valor en las dos , tanto en PS5 como XSX...........el cuadro negro dejalo en 0 nits, el minimo posible
