This was so helpful! My brake pedal is up too high and it has too much play in it so I'm going to lower it a little bit and then tighten it up. Everytime I come to a stop I have to push down so far that it throws me off balance and I fear that I'm going to fall off the bike. Hopefully this fixes that

Just used this video. Hopefully it fixes my issue. Rear brake worked fine before. Replaced chain and sprockets and installed new EBC shoes while I had it off. Cleaned the inside with gasoline & a rag. Never could get the rear brake to really work after. Could lock it up before and after it's like it wouldn't even make contact hardly. So like I said hopefully this little bit makes a difference for me.

Thank you! If I ever pick up a project that needs a rebuild I will definitely document the process. So far none of my bikes have needed to be torn down that far.

Hey man! I have a CL350 and was curious if you could give me a quick brakedown of the parts needed to connect the actuator arm to the brake pedal? I seem to be missing some pieces and can't figure out what they are called and don't know where to even search to find them.

Great video- thanks! I’ve got a sticking rear brake issue (76 xl 250)- sticks when in neutral, always, but I can’t seems to fix with the adjustments you described - any thoughts greatly appreciated:)

Hi, hoping for some help. I ride a classic Honda (CB160) and the brake pedal can go up to 4 inches down which is obviously way to much and unsafe since it takes an awkward foot movement to tilt down enough to apply the brakes. The issue is the rear nut you mentioned controls this is already tightened all the way in. What could I do to solve this problem, or what should I maybe look up since I'm lacking in motorcycle jargon (new rider). Thanks.
@ClassicOctane6 жыл бұрын
Your rear brakes might be worn down and need to be replaced. I would check the brake shoes to make sure they still have enough pad material.

Hey man, that was awesome. thanks for all of your videos. I am working on an 83 suzuki gs450 and have a break related question for you - When I push down on the rear break, it seems to stay stuck in the down position. Any ideas on what might be causing this?
@ClassicOctane8 жыл бұрын
There should be a spring on the lever that pulls it back up. Make sure yours in on there and not stretched out too much.

@johnnyappleseed77986 жыл бұрын
Not a good idea to alter the brake drum lever position from stock. It is indexed with a dot for a reason. If say your shoes are worn and the brake engages elsewhere and is moved aft as the video suggests you run the risk of over centering of the brake shoe internal expansion mechanism which eventually could cause jamming and brake lock up.

Can you please explain your view on why you think it is a smart idea to hold a highly speculative asset like btc during a major collapse of the system? We are round about 70.000usd above the realized price of btc. IMO it is a horrible idea to stay in all of crypto during a major collapse and its wiser to diversify into currency and precious metals an secure your wealth for at least 2 to 4 years. If you look back, crypto in fact hasnt ever experienced a major crash like 2008- The corona crisis was a slight idea of what will happen to crypto when systems start to fail - just a huge huge collapse. You wont be save anywhere but in currency that will keep up your purchasing power. Happy for your feedback
