You don't feel like rewinding the video, but for us total noobs with no engine experience it would still be super useful. Still hella appreciate what you've done here and I've learned tons. Aussies are cool shit! Love your vids man, coming at you from BC Canada

I've got an Altima that has no clearance on no. 3 exhaust valve causing a miss. What I thought was to remove the bucket and have it clearanced on a surface grinder. This would work , right?

great video but what you do if you need decrease the lash new shim or some other options?
@femalegarage4 жыл бұрын
Only new shims. Or swapping the shims if it's possible.

That’s crazy all this for a valve adjustment it’s easer to change the whole head
@drakevelazquez87283 жыл бұрын
Would switching the valves around work? Or are the shims different heights so my thinking won’t work? . Ex. Exhaust switch .35 with .25 gives you .30 .35 with .28= .31, same for last .35. And grind the .13 to .27 and switch with .33. .27 with .33 =.30 May have to do the same things. Nice work.

It's bad practice to move valves around, but that would also probably over-complicate things lol

@josephbania45643 жыл бұрын
This may have been asked, but why not just take material off the shim?
@AaronBonBarron3 жыл бұрын
They're hardened steel, much easier to tip the valves

next time, buy a single cylinder bike, lol, u'll save some money on shims... so basically valves always move in one direction as the engine wears?
@bradjenkins932 Жыл бұрын
I ground the shims down
