Thanks, Rick for the excellent video on adjusting these very simple to use Marker bindings. I was wondering about the forward pressure adjustment and length adjustment and you cleared that up for me very well. Thank you!!!

Not clear to beginners like me is that when he says the size lines on the bindings are the size of the sole of the boot in millimeters, you need to measure your boots base in mm. Don't get confused by mondo size that is labeled on the boot. Just measure the base and try the two closest positions to that measurement. For example I have mondo size 275 boots, but the base of the boot is 305mm, and the 310mm positions on my marker binding's heel and toe were the spot perfect for the mondo 275 boot.

Hi, a question. Regarding the pressure indicator - is it important that the black line is in the center of the white area, or can it also be slightly left or right of center? Thank you
@snowcountry_eu Жыл бұрын
As long as you can see the line you're good to go. Slightly off center is no problem.

@@snowcountry_eu Great video. To add on, what if the black marker is fairly close to the beginning, meaning it's popping up within the first 1/4th of the window. Upon picking up boot/shaking, the black marker is almost out of the window. By moving heel piece up (lower size), the marker is now at the last 1/4th of window. Is it preferable to have forward pressure at the earlier 1/4th or later 1/4th? Later 1/4th obviously is more pressure and seems to not be the best for disengage/release and it's digging more into the boot soles.

@@L3uX If you can see the black Marker this means the forward pressure is set correctly and within range. You can try to get it more centered but this is not necessary.

@@snowcountry_eu Thank you so much. Combing through lots of older forums, yeah I see that as along the black marker is within range, it's acceptable.

I want to get a pair of Marker Griffon demo bindings for my new Nordica Enforcer 104. Would the best fit likely be a 100mm or 110mm brake ??? Thx
@snowcountry_eu3 ай бұрын
The 110mm brake would be the best fit for your Nordica Enforcer 104. Since the ski is 104mm underfoot, you generally want a brake that's slightly wider than the ski waist to ensure proper coverage without being too wide. A 100mm brake will be a bit too narrow, while the 110mm will provide a more secure fit without dragging. For a complete look at our ski bindings please check the link below: www.snowcountry.eu/skis/ski-bindingen.html Good choice!

I love these videos: "Pull the obvious lever that clearly moves the binding, and adjust to your boot length". Um, what if there is no lever?

Well in that case you don't have a recent Marker system binding ;-)

@@snowcountry_eu I don't. The bindings I think are from the 80's. I actually had to unscrew the entire assembly to figure it out, and even then I couldn't figure it out so I drilled new holes in the skis to adjust it to the boot length.

There's always someone with a smart-ass comment. The majority of people watching this video are probably not wanting to spend money at a shop for a 5-second adjustment. Yeah it's a little obvious what to do but the majority of everyone watching this probably just want to be reassured says they're going to be up a freaking mountain with these on their feet

Yes, the height of the GripWalk toe-pieces "auto" adjust to alpine and gripwalk soles.

If set the length of my boots, which is 315 mm, the line is just on the border of the window.When I reset to 316 mm it is closer to the centre. Which one setting should I choose?
@snowcountry_euАй бұрын
@@TomaszBogacz The line in the center is best but as long as the line is visible you're good to go.

how do you adjust the toe height on these bindings?
@snowcountry_eu10 ай бұрын
You don't ;-) The toe-piece fits Alpine and Grip Walk soles without further adjustment.
