Thanks for showing a beginner going through the process. It's very helpful to see what she's going through to figuring it out. Thanks Cass for being the example!

Great tutorial! The "uphill edges engaged" cue really helped me unlock the full 360 revert. I had never heard anyone else cue it that way 👌

Great video! I’ve been skiing for many years but never learned to ski backwards, so I’m excited to hit the bunny hill next time and try it !

Such a great skill to learn. My cousin kinda taught me the 180/360 flat but there were a few tips that helped me in the video. I just lean forward for the first 180 then back for the second.

Gonna be trying this as soon as I get to my first mountain of the year!! Thank you For the tips

Thanks for the video! I have been skiing for 3 years and this was one of the must learn tricks that I wanted to know. It was fairly easy to do once you explained it. One of the next tricks I would like to learn is how to ski over water, like “pond skim” as they call it where I am from. Hopefully you have it in one of your other videos

Ngl, I've been winging my reverts for the past season and just kind of seeing what works, and part of it was because there's literally not a single other video on KZbin that talks about how to do it. Was pumped to see this vid! Great stuff BOT

I was working on my reverts a couple weekends ago and I got it the first try but the second try… I ended up catching my downhill edge 😂

When I try to ski backwards and go straight, the staggered position instantly makes me revert in that direction. Any tips?
@TheBagOTricks Жыл бұрын
When you get to switch and stagger your feet, keep the bases of your skis flat against the ground, try not to lean into your edges at all

@@TheBagOTricksthank you for your great tutorial …after the switch and staggered, which ski should I put the most COM and pressure on , the uphill or the downhill ski? Regards

I have a pair of slalom Salomon s races (pretty hard race skis) and I want to finally start park skiing, what stuff can I do with them until I buy two tips next season? I still can't do a 180 or 90 box switch but I comfortably hit high jumps

i think a good thing to learn before reverts would be a hockey stop
@user-vi3hu1zg2p11 ай бұрын
I play hockey so is it like the stop or just transitioning on skates?
@real_dddf7 ай бұрын
of course you can't do the open your feet and hop backwards/forwards, but I do feel like it is the same as a two footed spin/transition. Skiing and skating aren't all that different aside from not being able to do crossovers (actually might be possible if you use a really short ski. Might get some kid skis and try it one day).

When I try to revert I lose a lot of speed is that normal?
@TheBagOTricks Жыл бұрын
Yep at first it's definitely normal, once you get better at them you'll be able to transition quicker which will help keep your speed

You are really limiting yourself if you learn this in one direction. Learn to revert both directions, and learn how to stagger and look over each shoulder. Practice both sides, attack those weak points
