On sleep and eating, after a lot of testing, I've learned that eating much after about 5 p, 6 p for sure, hurts my sleep and correlates with a higher starting heart rate, lower HRV, and higher body temp. When my Oura data shows heart rate is flat during sleep its a good indicator and always correlates with earlier eating. Also, my deep sleep and rem sleep patterns are not as regular when I eat too late. Same happens with late alcohol. No alcohol and earlier eating ar the biggest game changes for me in terms of sleep.

@BryanJohnson should have a survivor series with Blueprint. I have reached out to Bryan to try Blueprint as a guinea since not all of us have the financial means to do what Bryan does. However, if Bryan can invite 10 contestants to live with him in a place where there's good quality air, try his Blueprint and at the end of a month, whomever aged the best or slowed aging more is the winner, 2 contestant in the age 30 range, 2 in the 40 range, 2 in the 50 range, 2 in the 60 range and 2 in the 70 range. People will watch this show because everyone is interested in longevity and Bryan gets some data from people in different age group. Please pick me for age 50 group 😁

Fascinating and well done interview. I want to hear more from him. His point at around the 17:30 mark is noteworthy. Listening to all the various experts in this field will drive you batty as everyone has a little different angle on things. I’m piecing together my own protocols from each of them. I’m still learning and tweaking. Probably won’t ever stop as that’s my nature and the literature will keep coming out to what’s effective. There’s no shame in that, it’s how we evolve. Accepting this has given me more piece of mind as I’m just trying my best, not knowing what is the best. One thing I have changed as I realized the value of muscle mass is switching from calorie restriction to eating closer to maintenance or a slight surplus with the right macro ratio to improve this marker. There’s not enough awareness about the discussion at the end of how the mind works and can be manipulated. Good to address this growing issue.

paleo diet and calisthenics started 3 years ago at 43-44 years old. my budget welfare. I need to quit Nicoten for it is my only vice. But almost 50 and I feel great. start with diet, I did, one full year of diet and only one day of exercise every ten days for the first year. that exercise for me was a grueling 3.2 km walk to bring home my grociers. did that for a year and felt strong and full of energy so I figured I would start calisthenics. when I started I was scary thin, with grey skin, and couldn't eat even a small light meal without needing a nap. (Kudos your hair dye is a better-suiting shade. I still rock my grey. Cutting my own hair is not the best idea though.) i would love to know my body parts age. I feel good.

@RUSSIAN_SPY_INC
@RUSSIAN_SPY_INC Жыл бұрын
@@David-sq2en first interview I saw with him he stated he was dying his hair. I found KZbin Channels basically under the theme, no access to a gym, exercises you can do at home with no equipment. that lead to body weight exercise videos. I had to buy a basic pair of push-up bars, one of my wrists has scar tissue at a normal push-up angle, the push-up bars fixed that, so I started with 100 push-ups a day. I have a long lean torso and push-ups can be difficult on my core or was, so I spread it out over my waking hours, always true to form. at a slow pace, and decided to buy some exercise bands and hooks to attach them to walls and stick to my diet, esthetically I am the best version of myself ever. I would start with Athlene -X Mr. Jeff Cavaller on KZbin. he is a trainer and physical therapist and has really good insight on how to safely exercise. Jeff is the Man for that.

I'm addicted to my phone. I know I could stop but only if I went cold turkey e.g no phone. It's my fault but it's also to do with companies MAKING things too addictive.
@joshua.johnson

We live in an insane society. Becoming sane will seem so against the grain and will feel as though it is filled with endless resistance. What you must do is take some time to reframe your mind and shed pre-existing beliefs as well as the story based opinions of the people around you. Because if you strip all the layers off, people are really saying “I think you are more easily understandable and controllable if you are addicted to the same algorithms as I am. It’s ok that the entire world of your mind is controlled by the subconscious implantations of tech companies who want to profit off of your information, time, existence, and ultimately life. Yes, you will most likely never have the same realizations that you would otherwise have, and therefore will never do the great things your potential had planned for you. After all, you should listen to me, because I’m another insignificant human with a subjective opinion that I want to force into your brain.” Don’t listen to people, you’ll become average. And then die.
@BlizzardzRS
@BlizzardzRS Жыл бұрын
While I agree that companies aren't helping you by making their products addictive, there will *always* be external factors in your life that are outside your control. So instead of shaking your fist at reality, take *ownership and control* over what you can change. In the case of your phone, it is 100% under your control. The part of you that thinks you're a helpless servant to your device is a part of you you need to erase. Either control your screen time by doing things like disabling notifications, deleting your most addictive apps, putting your phone in another room while you work, etc. Or sell your mobile and get a landline. The choice is yours. You have agency.
@Walund-p9v
@Walund-p9v Жыл бұрын
@@BlizzardzRS I think this is great advice. I am in the "I have agency" camp and in general am a disciplined person BUT I think we need a collective realisation that social media companies are damaging our society... not just in terms of misinformation but in terms of addiction. This is not a problem that can be solved at the individual level, we need legislation. FYI for any other phone addicts, the best thing I've found is an app called Opal which locks my phone during specific hours of the day. Annoying but it works.

Is there any concern about the absorption or effectiveness or interaction of taking 50+ supplements at once with just water, no Green Giant after 10/23. I have read about the interactions amongst some of his 50 supplements as they are all being broken down and rushing to be absorbed? Unless the info I have read is outdated Bryan is definitely not concerned since a majority of his morning supplements seem to have negative or reduced effects when taken together. He is taking them only with water and some of the supplements he takes are fat soluble so is this in general a very minor thing or does he not really care about the supplement cost or absorption rate or am I missing something?

Can anyone explain these things: Bryan says "...resting HR at 46 is the #1 factor" at deciding his sleep quality so answer me this, why cannot he eat 3-4 hours before bed check his HR if its above 46 then a simple meditate session for 10-20 minutes should lower it? It is almost like he is saying that digesting food is very taxing on his body and is causing an elevated HR which takes him 9-10 hours to lower. Like doing a HIIT session and needing 9-10 hours for his heart to recover. I have never read or heard this before about digestion. How much effect does quality food digestion have on your HR?

I think it is not to make all what he do. It's more about that he try to give hope that we can repair our body better if we do something good for them. It's only about to stay healthy in age to enjoy life. He try to use all the evidence based studies to reach it. It will change when better and better studies come out. There was nobody before him who gave all these data and insights on the health then him. So everyone can do what they want. He only shows what helped him

Not really sure why this man gets the attention he's getting. It's a gross overindulgence in self obsession. I predict that he won't live any longer than the average lifespanned human.

The host is so annoying. He just can’t speak well enough or articulate himself well enough to host a podcast. I almost couldn’t finish listening due to how frustrating he was to listen to.
