I'm sorry to hear about your visa denial. It's crucial to be well-prepared for your visa interview, especially regarding the program you plan to study in the USA and the course content. The visa officer (VO) may ask questions about your past academics and course content, so it's important to have a solid understanding. If you encounter a question you don't know the answer to, it's better to acknowledge that rather than struggling or leaving long pauses. How you present yourself and your responses plays a significant role in the success of your interview. It's not necessary to change your university, but if you do decide to, you'll need a strong reason for the change. Thank you. Best regards, Coach Richard Lasrado Education Abroad Counselling Centre (EACC)

Yes, you can apply for a U.S. visa again, even after facing refusals from other countries. Please be aware that visa officers may have access to your visa history, including refusals from other countries, through shared databases and information-sharing agreements. While applying with a spouse is a personal decision, it's crucial to understand that each visa application is unique, and approval is based on individual circumstances. We recommend seeking professional study abroad counseling to increase your chances of success and ensure a well-prepared application. This can provide valuable insights, help you understand the visa process, and assist in presenting a strong case for your study abroad plans. If you wish to explore study abroad counseling through us, you can book a Zoom One-on-One appointment using the link below. This first appointment will be FREE for you to understand your case and for you to ask queries. calendly.com/educationabroadcounsellingcentre/study-abroad-zoom-one-one-counselling Best of luck with your visa application, and feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.

Good morning! I understand how disheartening a visa rejection can be. Based on the situation you described, it appears that the rejection under Section 214(b) was likely due to concerns about your financial situation. This section implies that the visa officer was not convinced that you have strong ties to your home country or sufficient financial support to study in the U.S. Here's how you might address this in a new application or interview: 1. Add more Financial Saving or Take Education Loan 2. Explain Financial Plans clearly; you let the VO officer understand how you are going to manage the finances, from where the money will come etc. 3. Strengthen your ties to your Home Country by providing reasons like family obligations, property ownership, or a potential job offer upon return. This will ensure the visa officer knows you intend to return home after your studies. If you suspect that the choice of program or university might have been a concern, consider selecting a program that aligns even more closely with your academic background or career goals, which can help justify why you need to study in the U.S. It is important that you prepare for the interview well by having a clear idea of why you chose Fitchburg State University, how the program fits into your career plans, and how you plan to manage your finances during your studies. Last but most importantly, in case of doubt, consult with an Expert who can help you understand the thinking required in visa preparation and how to answer visa questions. If you could, booking another appointment and approaching it with a reinforced application and a clear understanding of the reasons behind the initial rejection will increase your chances of success. Good luck!

How i can make postive that question without changing which i said one time in embassy which on basis i got refusal.i had long term medical issue so i had 5 yrs gap in my studies.but i was able to explain the gap of 3 yrs because my visa officer didn't listen complete answer he has stopped to me during the question. So, tell me which thing i can change or what thing i must remains same in next time which will make postive the intentions of that question.

1. Review your previous application: Review the reasons for your visa refusal and identify areas where you can improve your answers or provide additional supporting documents to strengthen your case. 2. Emphasize your intention to study: Explain why you have chosen the specific program and how it aligns with your academic and career goals. 3. Address the gap in studies: If asked about the gap in your studies, emphasize that your medical condition was the reason for the gap and that you have since overcome those challenges. Highlight any steps you have taken to ensure you are in good health and ready to resume your studies. 4. Provide supporting evidence: Along with your explanations, provide relevant documents demonstrating your readiness to pursue your studies. This could include medical reports, academic transcripts, recommendation letters, or other evidence showcasing your academic abilities, achievements, and future prospects. Consider seeking guidance from an expert or a reputable visa consultant who can provide personalized advice and help you navigate the process more effectively. They can review your specific circumstances and provide tailored recommendations to increase your chances of a successful visa application.

Sir I was refused a visa because I didn't tell the major that was declared in my I-20 and also the visa officer asked me what I was been doing since I have completed my high school,what should answer in my second F1 visa interview and what changes should I make so that the visa officer to be convinced with my answers
@eacc
@eacc 11 ай бұрын
Your answer will be based on what you have done after high school. How well you have utilized your time and what you have done is related to what you want to do in the future or something else. There is no definite answer, and each person's response will differ. I therefore cannot give you any answer here. It is essential to know your major, your cost of education, duration, etc., as you are going to the USA on a student visa. Not knowing gives an impression that you are not a genuine student or a potential immigrant. I hope this is helpful to you in your next attempt.

Hello Najib, I understand your concern, and it's crucial to approach the situation with clarity and confidence. In your response to the visa officer (VO), providing more substance and context to your explanation, like taking additional language support or resources to improve your comprehension, will help the officer understand what steps you have taken to improve based on your last visa interview experience. Be convincing in your answer and not just answer the question; give more facts and reasons for vo to understand why you are a genuine student and why you should be granted a USA F1 visa.

How can I get to know why my visa was rejected previously under 214(b) when my interview went very well, all documents I prepared well, provided funds were good enough! How can I figure out the reason of rejection preparing for next interview?
@eacc
@eacc 9 ай бұрын
Understanding the specific reason for a visa denial under 214(b) can be challenging as the consular officer's decision-making process is protected by law, and they are not required to disclose specific details. You can apply for the visa again, and the same VO will not take your interview, and you will have a new officer. All the best!

Hi Sir. I’ve rejected twice under 214(b) for F1 visa. In my first interview, I don’t have travel history which make the VO suspect about my financial situation. And the second time, I have some gap between my academic records. So this time, when I take my interview, if the officer ask me what have I changed this time, how should I answer that question? I have proof for strong financial status and no gap for academic record now.

I can provide some guidance; keep in mind that there is no guaranteed formula for visa approval. You need an expert who can guide you in visa counseling to improve your chances of getting a visa in the USA. Here's a suggested approach for addressing the question of changes: 1. Financial Stability: Add funds to improve your bank balance/investments/ education loan. 2. Academic Records: Explain the gap in your education by carrying additional documents like proof of work experience or other courses/ certifications relevant to your course of study. 3. Travel History: You can add travels like conferences, workshops, or other relevant experiences that have helped to improve your profile. 4. University Choice: You can change the university and apply for a program relevant to your profile. 5. Scholarship/Recognition: You can mention scholarship, recognition, etc., if the same is offered by the university. These are some of the changes I have listed; you can add more based on your profile and documents.

You need a better explanation, as many students achieved good results during COVID-19. Instead of blaming the pandemic, explain any personal challenges you faced, such as health issues or family problems, that impacted your studies. Alternatively, highlight specific steps you've taken to improve your academic performance since then. Finding a genuine and personal reason will be more convincing.

221(g) is Administrative processing: Have you been to the USA earlier or never traveled? Usually, people with a USA visa but who have never traveled are denied under 221(g) to understand why you wish to apply for the USA again under a visa waiver program. If you have traveled to the USA yet been refused under 221(g), then the visa officer would be interested in knowing about your previous visit. Prepare your answer accordingly and the reason for applying for the visa again. Being well-prepared, honest, and demonstrating strong ties to your home country increases your chances of a successful visa interview.

I was rejected because I wasn't able to convinced the office about my home tied. What should I do doing my second interview?
@eacc
@eacc Жыл бұрын
1. Review your application: Start by reviewing your visa application and any supporting documents that you submitted. Make sure that your application is complete and accurate and that you have provided all the necessary information about your home ties. 2. Identify the issues: Think about why the officer may not have been convinced about your home ties. Were there any gaps in your documentation? Did you provide sufficient evidence of your job, family, or property ties? Once you identify the issues, you can take steps to address them. 3. Provide additional evidence: If there were gaps in your documentation or if you did not provide enough evidence of your home ties, consider providing additional documentation or information to support your case. For example, you may want to provide a letter from your employer, proof of property ownership, or evidence of family relationships. 4. Be prepared to answer questions: During your interview, the officer may ask you questions about your home ties, such as why you plan to return home, what ties you have to your community, and how you will support yourself when you return. Be prepared to answer these questions with specific, detailed information.

In my previous visa application, I selected a lower-ranked university due to limited information and a lack of awareness about the significance of university rankings. However, I have conducted extensive research and now understand the importance of choosing an institution that aligns better with my academic and career goals. The university I have chosen for my current application offers a more suitable program and faculty expertise, making it a more informed and thoughtful choice. Additionally, I have strengthened my financial situation by increasing the funds available for my education and living expenses.

No, not traveling abroad does not affect your visa chances, provided you explain adequately during the visa interview. Further, your information must not contradict the DS-160 form, which will raise doubts. In future visa applications or interviews, emphasize your reasons for travel, provide evidence of your ties to your home country (such as family, investments, or employment), and be clear about your intentions for visiting the United States.

@eacc
@eacc 11 ай бұрын
The registration fees the visa officer mentioned are likely related to the costs associated with the SEVIS registration, a mandatory requirement for F-1 student visa applicants. If you did not understand the question correctly, you need to request to rephrase the question. Your paying the registration fee is not the reason for your visa denial, but you do not understand the question, and answering is the reason for your visa denial. In your next attempt, listen and understand the question correctly, clarify any misunderstandings, and provide a more detailed and accurate response.

It can be challenging to discern the exact reasons for the visa officer's decision to refuse your application. Several factors may contribute to this outcome, and it's possible that a simple 'Yes' response to a question played a role. Denials can occur when there is a lack of clarity or when the visa officer expects a more comprehensive or detailed answer.

Clearly state in your answer if you wish to utilize OPT or CPT as an opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in your field of study. If Yes, highlight that your objective is to enhance your practical skills and apply the knowledge you have acquired during your academic program. Link your participation in OPT or CPT to your long-term career goals. Explain how the practical experience gained through these programs will contribute to your professional development and make you a more competitive candidate in the job market. You can also answer as No that you do not wish to utlise OPT and CPT as you want to focus on your studies and get good grades and provide your reason for not utlising the same.

@eacc
@eacc 8 ай бұрын
You have completed a Law Degree and have been working as a lawyer for the last two years. You wish to apply for an MBA program to open your own law firm. The VO could not find the relationship between your Law Degree and two years of Law Experience with the MBA you wish to pursue from the USA and, therefore, denied your visa. You need to provide 2 -3 reasons for the change of program to convince the vo to grant visa in your next attempt.

Applying for a Second Master's in the USA after two years of work experience creates doubt in the mind of the visa officer. Why master again from the USA? The vo feels you wish to enter the USA as a potential immigrant and use an F1 visa as an option.

As you mentioned that you had filed an immigration petition, it becomes apparent that you have a strong relationship in the USA. Suppose your son cannot explain that his reason for going to the USA is only to study and that he will return after his studies; he will be denied a visa under 214(b) as a potential immigrant as an F1 visa is a temporary resident visa and filing an immigration petition means that he wants to settle in the USA. His visa purpose must be clear for the vo to grant him an F1 visa.

Choosing a university is your choice. You need to check the program, course content, program facility, and what it offers besides ranking, location, etc. Here are some tips to address the visa officer's queries and make an informed decision: 1. Answering Course and University Choice: a. Be clear and specific about why you chose the particular course and university. b. Mention the research you did on the University of New Haven and explain how the financial analysis program aligns with your career goals. c. Emphasize that you chose the university based on its reputation, faculty expertise, and opportunities it offers in the field of financial analysis. 2. Addressing Lack of Travel History: a. Be honest about not having any travel history, especially during COVID-19, as it affected travel plans globally. b. Assure the visa officer of your commitment to abide by travel regulations and comply with all requirements. 3. Financial Considerations: a. Clearly state your financial situation and your inability to manage full funding for your studies. b. Emphasize your dedication to finding alternative funding sources, such as scholarships, assistantships, or part-time work opportunities on campus. 4. Understanding Visa Rejection: a. Visa decisions can be subjective, and each officer may assess applications differently. b. Focus on presenting a strong case with clear ties to your home country, genuine study plans, and adequate financial support. Remember, be honest, confident, and well-prepared during the visa interview. Best of luck with your visa application and your academic journey!

Not an important question, but just wondering - Do visa officers know if you have a family living in USA? I applied for F1 visa way back in 2006 to a college in California. My sister was a green card holder and already living in New Jersey. So many experts told me that if visa officer asks about any relative living in USA, just say “No”. I went to the interview with that intention. But somehow got nervous about lying when my turn came. Visa officer asked about any relative living in USA. I told them I have a sister living in New Jersey. Officer just said - “Ok she lives in New Jersey, and you are applying to college in ……….. Fresno. Ok. So you are on the west coast” And that’s it. She didn’t show any objection to it and approved my visa. Since that day, I have always wondered, if I had said “No, I don’t have any relative living in USA”, what would have happened. Do they have information about family at hand?
@eacc
@eacc 7 ай бұрын
Visa officers may not have real-time information about every detail of an applicant's family connections in the USA during the interview. However, they have access to a variety of databases and information-sharing systems that may provide them with background information. In your case, it seems that the visa officer was aware of your sister's location based on the information available to them. It's important to note that providing false information during a visa interview can have serious consequences, including visa denial and potential bans on future applications. Your honesty during the interview likely played a positive role in the outcome. Visa officers generally appreciate transparency and straightforward answers.

When explaining why you changed universities in a visa interview, it's crucial to construct your answer in a way that emphasizes your thoughtful decision-making and commitment to your educational and career goals. Factors that you can consider are: 1. More scholarships are offered by the New University. 2. Better Ranking, Program more aligned to your career objective, Location of the University, etc. 3. Correspondence that you have done with university officials, professors, students, etc. 4. Your own research on the new university and the program. 5. Lower costs, as the University is a Public University, etc., could be some of the reasons for you to change the university. Find reasons relevant to you. and answer accordingly.

Do my previous refusal matters even it’s has been 6 to 7 years passed and also I’m applying for different category.

Thank you for your kind response. You have refused on F1 Visa in Pakistan, and after 6-7 years, you are applying for a B1/B2 visa from Saudi Arabia to attend the conference. You need to have complete details of the conference. The details should answer questions like why attending this conference is essential for your company and you. How this conference will benefit your company and you. What is this conference about? Where is the Conference? , etc. If the VO finds your reason convincing, you will get the visa.
