Was that the only reason given for your denial? It is not just sufficient to show proof of relationship, you also need to explain why your cousin is paying for your trip. This can be easily explained in a Cover Letter, Invitation Letter (backed with supporting documents) and family photos.

My cousin stays here in nigeria.l was only applying for a visit visa.l was denied a visa for two reasons.first reason was that I did not show proof of personal or working relationship with my sponsor secondly I run a school and my monthly expenses did not tally with what I wrote down in my application.
