How to Apply a GitHub Commit to Magento Core Code

In this video, I'm going to show you how to apply a random commit from a PR from GitHub to your deployment pipeline, so you don't have to manually run "patch" from terminal after deployments. This tut utilizes the infamous cweagans/composer-patches module, and is specific to Magento 2.

You could use vaimo/composer-patches which is able to handle multiple modules in one file.

What about patch command for windows? Does is matter if my command line is inside a docker container?

It would really depend upon how it’s set up, but you would generally run this command from where you have git installed.
