Have you tried dipping the object in alum? After you apply the alum and let it dry, can you sand it? very grateful for the help

Can you paint a ceramic piece with acrylic paint, have that dry, spray the alum and then dip in the marble paint?

I only use Jacquard Marbling Colors. A ready to go Marbling acrylic pigment . Dharma Trading sell them if you ate in the US.

No rinsing required. Let dry and seal with a spray varnish
