This is always the problem with mods; it’s always the people that don’t have the self control of being a decent human and not modding in public lobbies, that ruin mods in general for people that want to use them in private lobbies. Use all the boss mods you want, but people should be using them in a private lobby where they’re playing against friends/CPU’s.

Soo I have some issues: First: when I open frosty fix, it for some reason doesn't detect the game, if you have same issue, just go to settings and select custom game by opening gw2 exe file in the game folder, that should work fine Second: when using some of the mods (I'm gonna be using regrown and undead and cinematic mod) when I load with cinematic mod, regrown and undead mod is working on like 30%, character balance and new features included + new characters, but for some reason new character variants and new abilities doesn't work, maybe it's because cinematic mod neither out of date, or just blocks it for some reason.

I followed the tutorial 1 for 1, but when it gets to the part of launching the game through frosty and its supposed to load the mods, it goes straight to trying to launch it through steam. any suggestions?

In frostyfix, the only pack that shows up is ModData, and it doesn’t launch the game when I try to with mods enabled. Is there a fix for this?

@@user-hg9ed3kl8t I did end up fixing it, although I can really remember exact steps. I think I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling frosty mod manager, and that fixed the issue.

Don't download the mod called unlock, since I downloaded it the game always crashes and won't let me use the characters in the game, is there any way to remove the mod? I tried removing it from frosty mod but it remains in the game

As soon as I open the mod manager, it tells me that an unhandled exception has occured.

Likely something has gone wrong with the installation or it just threw a fit mid way opening it. Make sure you opening it in the location with everything else. Either that, or you may need to reinstall the mod manager

I wish there would be a system where modded games simply couldn't be played online. Like some sort of semi-DRM that only activates when the game files get altered from a different source than steam or EA servers when connected. Promoting mods that only work offline would also be better if they really do put some decent anti-cheat. This would enable steam servers to ban workshop mods that work online. In addition, it would shorten any modder's workload knowing they no longer have to work on tick rate/hit registration issues in their mods for online multiplayer.

There is a file called “cryptbase.dll” that’s been generated in the games install directory. You’ll need to delete it. The modified file that you can obtain from the frostbite modding server, is what stops that file from showing up

Quick tip: Since day 0 of eaac, skids had bypassed it and it was made public a long time ago, him making a tutorial allows for people to use mods, and keep in mind not all mods are cheats, are you tired of seeing lobbys full of bosses? There are console versions eith no hackers, dont have a console? Play ofline, bots are just to easy? Well then use mods to spice the gameplay on ofline mode, there are multiple, want a vanilla game experience online? Quit the lobby and join another server.
