Hello. Every school handles transcripts differently, but I would first reach out to the school's registrar's office as they handle records or you can reach out to your school counselor to see if they can help direct you to a website and/or procedure. Hope this helps!

Hi there. I would expect the process to the be the same for domestic and international students; however, you will not apply for FAFSA (that step is for domestic students). Check out the website of the community college you wish you attend and allow the rest of my steps. Hope this helps!

I think the initial steps would be the same; however, if English is your second language they may have some additional steps to see your English proficiency. You may want to reach out to the community college and see if they require a TOEFL test or not.

Hello there! International students can attend community college; however, there may be additional steps regarding F1 visa and immigration documents you'll need to complete. Please reach out to the international students office of the community college you'd like to attend.

Nope. SAT/ACT is only if you want to go directly from high school to a four year college. If you plan the transfer route (community college to four year) you do not need to take the SAT/ACT. Great perk if you ask me :)

I'm not sure of the policy of other states but in California students may be able to have the first two years of tuition waived for community college. Students should look at their local community college's website to see if there is a "promise program" and also apply for FAFSA. I hope this helps!

Do you apply for FAFSA before or after you apply for the college ?

You have a choice, but I would recommend doing FAFSA right when it opens on Oct 1st. If you qualify you will be eligible to get the maximum amount of aid. If you apply much later (like May - when the vast majority of students apply for community college) and qualify, you may not get awarded all the aid because that money is gone. Does that make sense?

Nope! That's the beauty of community college. You just need to be 18 years old, a high school graduate, or have passed the CHSPE (high school equivalent exam). :)

I will say that many community college's nursing programs do have some type of process for students to earn their nursing certificate though. Since it's a hot major right now, there may be a waitlist or lottery on who can take the necessary courses. However, with community college being free right now, pursuing this pathway might make the most economic sense.
