I went there just with passports (3). No extra documents. My dressing was as usual daily wear.No combed hair (as usual). And everything was smooth. Visa officers are experienced enough to know your financial status by your eyes only.

Getting UK/EU/US Visa is really a piece of cake! Trust me!! We as Indians make it a very “Big Deal” when it comes to applying for VISA to these countries. Nervousness, Overconfidence, Casual Dressing and Poor Body Language are few contributing factors that lead to VISA Rejections by the Consulars. The key factors here are (personal & professional); 1) Your Job Role (if in service) 2) Your Designation/Position & how long have you been employed. 3) Your Monthly Income 4) Your Organisation’s Global Reputation 5) Your experience and nature of Business (if in Business/startup) 6) Your Position in your business entity. 7) Your Behaviour 8) Your Purpose for applying VISA 9) Your Home Ties 10)Your Financial Stability and assets. It’s not world’s end if your VISA is disapproved. Just give it a chance and try again and your job will be done in no time!!

Let’s say they ask our work proof, and let’s say one has a small business like a retail shop in that case which documents needs to be shown? Because, usually small shops don’t have any documents. Let’s say I a working with my father at his shop. 2. How much bank balance should usually be there? 3. What documents are needed to be shown for home ties? Please, do share any additional information/tips.

@@shahidchalkoo 1) only account statement where sales proceeds occur and your ITR is sufficient 2)If your annual income is 20% of your net sales which is greater than ₹80,000-90,000 a month plus Bank FD of ₹2 lacs then that would be enough as account balance 3)Any commercial or residential property in your name or your father’s name. A successful running business such that it’s easier to convince the Consular that you have to return to take care of your business and family.

One very important information which I wanted to share during my Consular Interview in Kolkata, since I posses 3 Passports (Indian), make sure, while the Consular officer asks your passport you just give the latest one and not all at once. I gave all 3 together and this made my Consular Officer a bit annoyed and he asked me “WHY AM I SEEING 3 PASSPORTS HERE??”, so I had to explain him properly and finally he was convinced. Though, such scenario varies from Officer to Officer. As I saw at another window that, the Consular Officer took all the passports at once and he was checking each page thoroughly. So just be confident and explain any question raised by the Consular with proper reasoning and the same should be genuine as well.
