This took me back to remembering some of the customers we had. Nightmare. I think what I really liked to do was funeral work. Sounds a tad strange I know. In this video you hit the nail on the head. I really don't miss that part. You really had it all broken down. I enjoyed listening seeing how close we were to your list. Pretty spot on. Thanks John. All is fine in my neck of the woods. Hope yours is too!

I had so much fun with wedding work, probably because I was the support staff. Best part for me was sometimes the next day a family member from the wedding brought us cake!!! Nothing like wedding cake and coffee!! When I did my sister's wedding flowers, I was alone, and it took me 5 hours and I had only planned 3 hours. I was sleep deprived on the day of the wedding.
@FlowerJoos Жыл бұрын
Yes, sleep deprived isn’t fun. Even if it takes 3 hours you can get held up and pulled away from it - so then it is 5 hours! 😀

Hallo from South Africa. Thanks for all your videos. I really enjoy everyone of them. I do flowers for family and friends on a special request basis as I have another full-time job 😏 I take my hat off for you guys who are doing flowers on a full-time basis as I find it really strenuous and at times extremely stressful and at the end of the event I am done. Saying that it is very satisfying to see a happy bride and groom who appreciate the effort and love going into all the creations you have created for their special day. That makes the sore feet and tired arms all worth the effort.

Patrica Simmonds ah, that’s not easy when you are excited by the product, but - when you are in the mood it can be made - even four weeks early if you want! Just pack away so no dust or dirt on them! As a guide I would say the items are on par with fresh product. But see your Cistercian’s off base materials and then price up. If for family are they getting a bargain? Or price normally - then just give them a gift as normal. For friends and family the less you charge the less it’s seen to be worth. So charge as normal is best advice. Good luck this - and wear a mask for spraying / spray outside 😀🌼🙋🏼♂️

What I remember from many years of wedding work was that there ALWAYS was drama. I remember one wedding when the bride showed up for her flower consultation with Pulbrook and Gould's book. She had chosen arrangements that had been used at the French Embassy in London! Well I had to quickly educate her on the costs and that her venue might not quite look like the embassy. However, she was insistent and had no problem paying the very large amount charged in advance. The wedding flowers were spectacular even though they were really copies of P & G.

VINCENT NICHNADOWICZ thank you for sharing your story - but she knew what she wanted ( that’s a bonus ) and paid - so jobs a good ‘un as they say 😀 But weddings and drama go hand in hand - there’s always something 😆
