I would love to see more videos on bouquet arranging, with different color schemes. I have rewatched a few of the bouquet videos and would love more!

When would you prepare a swag for a Saturday wedding. And how do you keep it looking fresh overnight?
@FlowerMoxie2 жыл бұрын
You can mist it with Crowning Glory or water and pop it in the trash bag and place it in the fridge!

Any chance you can do a bridal bouquet with mostly flowers (low greenery) similar to the gorgeous and huge bouquet in the blush and cream inspiration package?

Can you do a video on how to come up with a recipe/portion to fit a particular color scheme? Like I want mostly soft romantic white/creme with subtle pop of burgundy/red but can't seem to find examples of what I'm looking for. It's mostly all white or too much red (50/50). I'm thinking I'll do mostly white/cream and maybe pop of the burgundy red for little rose sprays or some sort of supporting small additive. Large rose probably wouldn't work with what I'm going for bc it will pop too much being so large and such stark contrast? Basically, how do you decide how many different types of florals and greenery and not go overboard to avoid something plain/boring yet still allow sufficient different size/textures to work with?

Great question and request. The first thing that comes to mind is a transitional color. When you have a lot of what and introduce a dark color it can become really contrasty, like a soccer ball. In order to avoid that, it can help to pop a 'bridge color' in the mix. For instance, added a few quicksand roses would do the trick, or layering in different greenery can help with you introduce a dark shade.

What is the best greenery to use on an arch? Trying to figure out how to keep weight balanced on the arch to avoid tipping.
@FlowerMoxie2 жыл бұрын
Southern Smilax gets a lot of coverage and isn't heavy, or I would go with Italian Ruscus. I typically like to use sandbags for arches or stake them in the ground to prevent tipping. I cover the bags by setting a foam cage of flowers or a low vase of flowers in front.

You said you do the greenery on Wed for a Sat wedding? How do you keep the eucalyptus in good shape? You mean you put it not just in the chicken wire but in foam?
@FlowerMoxie2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can green out your centerpieces in advance as long as there's plenty of water in the vase regardless of whether it's chicken wire or foam!

Any ideas on how to use hellebore leaves in a bouquet or arrangement? I have 5-6 huge stems with leaves spread out that are almost larger than my face - they’re so cool and are lasting FOREVER but I cannot seem to get them incorporated into any arrangements in a way that looks good 😕

When you green out an arbor or frame like in this video , you put the greens into chicken wire without a water source. I am confused. Should you have it inserted into foam? Or, will it last for a day or 2 without water. Should you mist it with water? Do you recommend a flower or greenery spray for greens? Crowning glory? Please advise.

Greenery can be added to a frame like this the night before. If you add flowers, pop them in the morning of and don't use anything too delicate like anemones or ranunculus. Stick with hardy flowers like roses and carnations. With an arbor, you can use foam cages or garland for a water source. We have built an arch with baby's breath and roses without a water source, and it's recommended to build that day of. Misting with Crowning Glory or water will help keep them hydrated, especially in the warmer weather months!
