How to Artfight Hunt

I don't need to artfight hunt......But I REALLY love to find new artist and their cool art. Heck me. ;v; Hope this helps you to find cool artist too!

an underrated method for looking for people to attack is to browse through recent attacks (when the season officially starts) and find people with cool art styles to attack! this also helps when youre looking for ACTIVE people to attack. so far ive been surprised that no one else has talked about doing this before so just thought id share it here ~

I often use the traditional methods (front page, tag search or simply finding users you know) but a strategy that's underrated is the Random Character/User button. When drawing a mass attack with a large number of characters, I mash the button to find random characters until I can fill up the character count. I met a lot of awesome people and made a lot of new friends, which was a very worthwhile experience.

Please be careful when doing this because some users (like me) either don't want their characters in mass attacks or you need to ask first to include their characters. Thanks.

@@nilli10l. I usually make sure to know if the users consent to mass attacks before including them, usually by reading permissions. When making hitlists I make a section with “Do you consent to being included in mass attacks” to make sure.

Since there's 30 characters per bookmark page, you have approximately 2,100 characters at the very least. I thought my 600+ characters in 22 bookmarks were a lot 😭

I love the artfight terminology sounding like actual violence. It's so much more fun to say "I'm gonna ATTACK YOU!!!" instead of "I'm gonna draw your character!!!"

A good thing to keep in mind is to post a character close to before, close to after, or during artfight when most people are active! Best to make the profile picture of the character look cool so it’ll pull someone’s attention! Also promoting your artight account on other sites too can also get you more attention like KZbin, Twitter, Toyhouse, Discord, Pinterest, Tumblr and many other places!

I would say for the official art fight discord, make a post for the target hunting channel, AND the character channels for your most specialest little goobers. I think every time I posted on the character channel I've gotten a bookmark, so trust me it works

One of the ways that I artfight hunt is that i look through the featured members section and see which characters i like. It's super helpful for me! Also I'm really glad that I decided to hunt for characters in advance instead of doing it during the event itself (i did the latter for the past two years...)

I honestly thought I was gonna be all on my own this artfight but I successfully nudged my buddy to join he has different characters and a different style then me but I’m happy I got him to join I was honestly kinda worried I’d be bored to death this artfight Besides updating reference images I like watching these videos there a fun thing to watch while waiting for the event to happen c: see ya July 1st

Alternatively: Be a fairly well-known artist, put out a video titled "How to Art Fight hunt" like a pot of syrup, watch people swarm towards it like flies and have them ask each other about their Art Fight handles.

Discord for sure! But close to the event you can tell who's active by the color of thire username on the site. Also if they uploaded a character it ends up in the front page. Very rarely I'll come across an inactive user on the site during the season. But that could be just me tooo... uh... discord! YES!!
