i feel like a cool reason that music doesn’t drown out dina could have to do with her being in the orchestra, like maybe because she’s musically trained her “ghost energy” vibrates on a higher level and harmonizes with the music instead of being drowned out by it. and maybe this makes hazel realize that dina cared and understood music more than she let on

hi, cello player here! there is such thing as an exclusive string orchestra, this often overlaps with the term chamber orchestra, which is a smaller orchestra, and typically this is the layout of student orchestras. however, our brass, wind, and percussionists are super important to us, and orchestras that play in large world renowned nyc halls like the one pictured are typically going to need more than just strings, unless they’re trying to achieve a specific style

Loved this challenge very much but I have ONE thing I absolutely HAVE to say. As a trumpet player in a school orchestra myself, I have to say a LOT of horned instruments and other wind type instruments do really get used often (though it always depends of the type of orchestra we are talking about). There are string-heavy groups and wind-heavy groups, that’s the beauty of it! Anyway I love the details about the musical instruments and stuff, amazing job once again. ILYYY

the timing of this!! and you talked about lockwood & co as well!! a new show came out a week ago called dead boy detectives and in a lot of ways it's similar to loockwood & co, it's an amazing show :)) it's about two ghost boys who decide to run from death instead of moving on to the afterlife and start a ghost detective agency and all sorts of funny stuff happens, one of the main characters is also a sort of medium/psychic who can see ghosts :0 anyway i love these characters so much and your art is SCRUMPTIOUS as always

An addition id recommend for the hair part is to add "short" or "long" to the search, just to give some variety ^^ this can be decided by a random number generator on google with even numbers being short and odd numbers being long, or something like that. i think it would make sense if, since they think the death was on purpose, they had to investigate the only other person who disliked dina (calvin) as a suspect but he ends up getting roped into it through that (also i LOVE the way you design characters its SO COOL!!)

I'm genuinely tweaking over the fact that she changed Hazel's body type to be a bigger, more chubby body type instead of a curvy body type. I have the same exact body type as the person in the referance pic and i was like "omg a drawing of a person with the same body type as me" and then you matched the waist to be bigger and match the size of her thighs. I have no problem with any body types, i think all bodies are beautiful, but i just didn't like the alteration because there's a surprising lack of this specific body type. Not skinny, but curvy. It's gorgous art tho, so keep drawing, it's so beautiful

The harp is such an integral part of the orchestra, but yes that limits you because you dont need a full group like you do the violins, but at that same time, there arent many harp players, so you end up getting booked fairly often!!
