Asking a girl out by text is a JOKE. You should do it face to face-More manly/mature

I agree with you but in my experience everytime I've done that I've received immature responses or avoidance as opposed to a yes or no. I'm just not interested in wasting a young woman's time but I guess they don't see it that way unfortunately.

I would say you could actually do both. Go out with the person, if interested, and see how things go. At the same time be praying about it. I believe God will give you the go ahead or the no go while going out and interacting with the person. Just don't get overly emotional and spend too much time together to keep your head clear and not run the risk of seeing red flags...I believe red flags could also be God's way of saying slow down and or stop seeing the person. Just my two cents :)

@@KaitlynSolomon2015 This is the advice I would give to a daughter if I have one someday. Say "I appreciate you asking, but sorry, you're not my type." In this you acknowledge that what he did took courage, you're being clear that it's a no, and you're not making it personal (e.g. "You're short", etc.). You will hurt his feelings _much, much worse_ if you give an answer that is vague so he clings to hope that there's still a chance with you. Then--and this seems to be the hardest thing for most women--DO NOT go around telling everybody that he asked. If I were a single guy that is interested in you, but I find out that you embarrass/humiliate every guy you're not interested in by broadcasting his ask to the world, what do you think the odds are of me asking you? Seriously, telling all of your girlfriends serves no strategic purpose, and actually harms your chances. You may think that people you tell will keep it quiet, but people pick up on body language, snickering behind their back, etc. way more than you might think.

If it makes you or anyone feel better, i have Asperger’s syndrome so I have always had a difficult time trying to know members of the opposite sex. I’ve gone through a period of several years just overthinking my situation and why things happen the way they do. A lot of painful nights Praying and hoping for the right one, and trying not to compare myself to my friends whom the vast majority are not single at this point. Sometimes you just have to teach yourself to find not only the root cause of your problems, but try to discern your peers and figure out if they are really of the best intentions. And yes I would totally agree being friends before going serious is if anything a smoother route. Bottom line: do not date just to mate.

Just a quick comment. For those who are just dating and have no intention of actually pursuing a girl as a potential spouse, then what is the real purpose of your relationship. Why are you asking her out on a date? Why are you trying to be more than simply friends? The world has "recreational dating" and it often leads to far more attraction and attachment without any long-term commitment. I completely disagree with that model. If you are going to get ask a girl out, you're letting there be at least some emotional attachment between you and her. You really shouldn't be leading her on like that unless you're serious about actually pursuing her as a potential spouse. It's alright if, later on, you realize she really isn't the person God has for you to marry. There's nothing wrong with that. But, the initial formation of a relationship between the two of you should be purposeful. A worldly purpose would simply be in seeking female companionship, often leading to sex. A Christian purpose would be in seeking a potential partner whom you may one day marry and would spend the rest of your life with. It's not so much about you as it is about God calling you to be willing to lay down your life for the good of this one woman. And, if you do marry, you commit yourself to love and to cherish her until death do you part. Jesus gave himself by dying on the cross for the sins of mankind. As men, that is our example of how we ought to love our wife. Are you willing to sacrifice yourself and lay your life down for her good? That doesn't mean you'll literally die on most cases, but it does mean being willing to go to that extreme for her benefit, because of how much you love her.

Do you know that you're saved? Salvation is not by what you do. It is what Jesus Christ did for you. You are saved by God's Grace through your faith. Faith and belief in the Gospel (1 Cor. 15:1-4 KJV). Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, was buried and he rose again on the third day according to the scriptures. Trust in the Blood Atonement of Jesus Christ (God the Son) (Rom. 3:25 KJV). The Rapture is very near. Are you ready?

Thank you for discussing this. As a Christian woman who is holding out for a godly man, I have to say it's rough out there!! I've had two extremes, one where a Christian guy will talk to me through social media/texting for 2-3 months but never actually ask me out on a date (for real!!) or basically come on strong and have his mind made up that I'm the one after two weeks of talking!!! I'm getting so frustrated. What happened to a happy medium of getting to know someone on the phone and in person and progressively get more serious, if it's mutual. Honestly , I think Christian guys seem to think about how to "court" way too much that it just gets weird and many don't rely on what God actually thinks about it! Pray about it!!And just be natural as well as intentional about what you want, without saying she is the one after 2 weeks (that's not intentional, it's too forward and freaks girls out). I hope I'm not coming across as bitter, I'm more just frustrated in how Christian guys go about this. It almost makes me miss how worldly guys went about it, like if you like a girl, ask her out, get to know her, and communicate to each other as you go along where your at. It should be simple and natural. Venting done 😒🙈😏
@elle19ism
@elle19ism 6 жыл бұрын
klassycountry99 I can relate. Many guys either can't express their feelings for a girl reason, no matter how long you've been talking. Or they convince themselves that you're their future wife when you barely know each other. I've experienced both. I've also had a guy friend who I'd known for a while tell me he liked me. I didn't feel the same but our friendship was able to go back to normal. I definitely prefer that last one: getting to know someone first and then asking them out
@elle19ism
@elle19ism 6 жыл бұрын
Aaron King if you freaked her out, then just apologise and ask her how she'd like to move forward after that (does she want to stay friends or not?). Whatever she says, accept that and move on. Or you can ask again some time in the future but if she says no again, then definitely move on. That's what I would prefer if it happened to me, but every situation is different. All in all, you just have to be respectful of the girl's feelings and opinions. Just think, how would you like a guy to treat your future daughter? That same level of respect you'd want for her should be applied to any girl you may have feelings for Btw, Mark recently did a video about handling rejection and it's great. Check it out on his channel

She agreed to another date, but she kinda pulled away. She is not texting and emailing me as before. On the first date, I was way too forward by the end of it and I sent her a text regarding me future plans. She answered by saying that we just agreed to be transparent and sincere. Nothing more. And she told me what she would like to do on our second date, which was precisely what I planed. Thank you for your advice elle19ism. God bless you
@elle19ism
@elle19ism 6 жыл бұрын
Regarding future plans, if you share them, don't make it seem like you are imagining her in them because that's a lot of pressure. For example, "I would love to move to Canada when I'm married. How would you feel about living there?". That makes it seem like you've already decided that she's the one. Rather, you can say something like "I love Canada. I think it would be awesome to visit/live there. Are there any countries/places you'd like to visit"? That, to me, makes it seem more like you're asking about travelling, rather than asking about where she'd like to settle in the future. Anyway, take it one date at a time and I hope it all works out for the best for you both.
@cklassen3946
@cklassen3946 6 жыл бұрын
Aaron King I agree with the advice given by elle19ism 100% also, don't forget at the beginning it's important to just get to know her for who she is and let her get to know who you are. Ask her questions and just spend time getting to know her heart. Sometimes we Christians get so caught up in our calling that we think we have to interrogate someone to make sure they have the same calling, but as time goes on an you get to know her and SEEK Gods will in it, you will have a peace that she is the one. If she is, God will have placed the things in her to help you accomplish your call, you don't have to figure that out right at the beginning. Just enjoy spending the time and relax, be intentional, but remember it really comes down to trusting God that He will lead you in this If you seek Him. God bless!!!

I ove your biblical videos. This is a great topic. Let me define it with one line and half sentence; first of all As a true christian man who is filled with the holy spirit,before you say that to a girl you loved. I strongly believed you ask God to lead you first to direct you how to asked that woman out. you have to call the girl and asked her on the phone that you wants to take her out first.secondly you have to respect all are plans, and I know through your discussions with that girl she would have given to you all are plans and schedules what she loves and what she don't like. Don't get me wrong is very great to ask a girl out as long as you love her to the sight of God. My brother I want you to look at the scripture please; in the book of Luke 23 vs 32 says And there were also two other male factor led with him to be put to death you know why I measure this scripture is because we should know that relationship is death do us part. that the first place.Thirdly Since I was watching your videos about relationship especially the one i responded to you the one were. you located your wife from massy ship. I was crying bitterly because as soon as i finished responding to that comments the spirit if God reflect to me about a friend of mine she is. a good friend very beautiful black lady who had a great features and looks. The husband made they deported that lady back to their country, That lady would be calling me to go and make peace for them one day. I told that lady how do you expect a single lady to go and made peace for you were four fine fine kids are don't do that. God is my witnessed. I never showed up to her place. I don't say any thing to her till now the government took the kids from her and gave to some people she introduce me to the kids case worker any thing they should contact me my name was with them I told her the truth from the part of the world we came from we don't argued our husband. I told her some time they give right to we the women not all the time I told my friend we begged men. She saw me went down to another friends place I lied down on the floor crying to my other best friend husband to beg him to forgive my friend my friend was wrong she accept her fault I was begging. that man he has right to called the cops for my friend but i begh. him not to call any friends or explained things to his friends I was crying bitterly because I am a shy person I brought all this explanations because your videos is convicting my heart more increasing some of my wisdom on how to respected men and loved them thank you so much. I would say the only reason you should ever talk to somebody’s father is if that’s the way that you do things culturally. In the culture I grew up with you just ask somebody out. I think that a lot of girls though want you to get to know them first in most cases. Because I’ve asked girls out casually and they were really awkward and weird about it. It’s like, I’m not asking to be your boyfriend I’m just asking if I can get to know you by going out to coffee. I don’t think it’s rocket science to do that and so I do feel like you have to see some cues before asking somebody out. I know right now I’m kind of working my way towards that and I have to communicate what they do in terms of getting to know people. And I found myself with a person that was asking me what I was looking for in someone. And typically girls don’t ask that unless they’re interested in you but don’t take what a girl saying in terms of a know as she’s not interested. I think that if a girl is doing that then she wants to get to know you more likely. However, my pastor is giving me advice to not make it complicated and just ask a girl out. He did that with his wife at first and she said no but later on she ended up saying yes because she was interested in someone else at the time. So, you kind of have to just put yourself out there and see what God decides to do with you in terms of who he has for you. That’s just what I’ve learned as a single person and that’s why I am not so inclined to complicate things.

Some of the topics would be how does God prompt you to get back into the dating scene , how you know you were healed from your past divorce, and trusting God to lead you to a mate that you would not be subject to the past behaviors of an ex spouse. I think divorcees are a neglected group when everyone talks about singles. I think divorcees are technically not considered single again. This is an area that many many people would like advice in.

This guy and I know each other for a couple of months now, friends introduced us to each other. We got to communicate little bit more later on because there's a ministry opportunity coming up which we both engage in with a group. Recently we just met and prepared and after everybody left, he stayed a couple of hours longer and we just had so much fun talking, eating together and him showing me couple of things (music and technology) we're both very much interested in. After he left, I believe, we both recognized that the dynamics of our relationship shifted a little bit. Actually, I am excited and at peace at the same time. We do not talk all the time and everyday, but I guess, we're both more "aware" of each other now. God has been dealing with me over this increasingly in the last couple of months and so I am in prayer, doing what God said - and binging this channel, honestly. 😅🙌 But seriously, my heart's desire is to do it God's way and honor this man. He is a very, very good and godly one. Mark, I am from the other side of the world, and I'm watching your vids for years now. Have learned so much and I believe, your mission is a God-one. I mean, godly relationships, successful marriages - those are things representing God himself. That is what God wants for sure. Your investment is worth it and I think, a lot of strong marriages which bear eternal fruit by bringing the kingdom of God to this world - and by pulling people to God - will be accounted as your fruit as well. Bless you. Keep doing the good work in helping us grow in faith and fear of God in this topic and in every other as well.

Girls! How important is it for you to label it as a date? I don’t see this as a big deal, but would like to hear an opinion. I recently invited a girl to join me for lunch. She was very excited to join & I payed for her meal. I haven’t heard much from her since even though she seemed to have a great time. So, I am not sure if I’m making a mistake my not defining it as a “date”
@J_gibson93
@J_gibson93 5 жыл бұрын
By calling it a date, it is easier for a girl to be clear whether she is romantically interested or not. If it is not stated, it can be more difficult to decline.

Haha, I've been wondering this over the past week.. Going to be doing what she referred to as "hanging out" next week but I think I should call it a "date" so that it's clear.. 🤔

If you're looking to date a Christian girl, I feel like it's much better to get to know her as a friend first instead of playing the "shoot your shot" game because you don't know her very well.

Do you think asking a girl to hang out without saying date a good thing to do, to not make them feel too much pressure? I have ask girls to hang out because I was scared if I ask them on a date they would freak out a d run away. I feel if hang out get to know them then ask them out on a date, chances of her dating me would increase.

Hey Mark, I love those tips... what would you recommend for this situation?--"I met this nice,beautiful girl at a camp in Florida where she lives, and I live in Virginia... we have kept in touch, long past that... and we've become really great friends and we talk every day... she and I are very patient people... and she shows some interests... we have the same morals, and has been the only girl I've ever met that I've never had to justify in my head... I've tried to look around and see other girls... but none of them seem to fit my mood like she does...she's and I convert to and relate easily... we have almost identical backgrounds... we are both young.. 18... and God has put her in my life for a purpose, because she has committed to stay in touch just as much as me... we've talked about meeting up... but I just would like your opinion on this... because I don't want to disregard something that God may be doing... just because she lives away..

On the topic of asking her pastor, I personally say no. My pastor was like that (old fashioned), I like the guy to approach me it shows more confidence, & I respect it more. Singles need to seek holy spirit, I've experienced it where my pastor said "that guys single, you should talk to him, he has a good heart, he has a job". I felt in my heart no. My pastor thought I was picky but that wasn't the case. Because in a few months that guy asked someone in the church out, they got married then he cheated not that long after. This is why we depend on God, he saw that guy wasn't very Christian, if I wouldn't of been obedient that girl could of been me. We even have to be careful when someone claims to have heard from God, that you're their "future spouse", it's sad to say. But seek God, cause the enemy likes to bring counterfeits.

I'm 31 and still don't know how to ask a girl out. I've been told so many different things. Some say you should ask a girl you've just met at church out. Some say no give it time first. I've also been told so many girls immediately in their heads think that when a guy starts talking to her/asks her out on a date it means hes just sleazy and wants to mess around with you. Which put me off for ages. I listened to a christian podcast the other day, it was girls talk on how more guys need to ask out girls more. One said I guy approached her at church and said "hey you looked so beautiful worshiping up front can I take you out on a date?" She replied absolutely yes! To me that sounds so creepy! Is it different to everyone?
@michellebigelow2866
@michellebigelow2866 6 жыл бұрын
Definitely not creepy at all!!! That is so beautiful. Directness and confidence in a man is so attractive. That’s the type of man I want. Being able to ask me out in the first place is like the first indicator of weather he’ll be able to lead and protect in the relationship moving forward, if the relationship develops that way. Good luck to you! I believe you can do it :))

I think it depends on the person. I for one, wouldn't want to go out with someone I just met even if he seemed very nice. I would prefer getting to know a guy a little bit beforehand. Just me. Obviously, not all girls feel the same way😁

That is way creepy. That only worked because she was sending him a ton of approach signals that he picked up on. And even if he got a yes, that was still a terrible approach, that could have been done a lot better. Only ask out girls that send you approach signals indicating that they're interested. If you don't know what these signals are, it could be because you're not getting any (there are quite a few guys out there who don't). But trust me, once you've been around girls sending signals, you'll know what they look like. Prolonged eye contact, hair flips, proximity, laughing at your jokes, purposely trying to keep conversations going, etc. If you aren't getting approach signals, you need to do some self-improvement. Once you get signals, act on them more or less immediately. Not by saying "I want you to be my girlfriend" or anything like that, but approach her, have a normal conversation, and try to exchange numbers at the end of it. DO NOT try to become her friend first. That is a terrible strategy that never ends well, even though you'll hear lots of Christian women say that's what they want (they don't). That's how you get friend-zoned. Women that you're interested in should remain as acquaintances, not friends. My (turned out to be non-Christian) girlfriend in college, one day kept eye contact with me for a bit too long during a class. A few weeks later, I asked her to a concert, and exchanged numbers. I'd spoken maybe 4 words to her before that point. Women actually choose you, and send you an invitation to approach. What's frustrating are women who do this solely for attention and with no intent of dating you, but that's a different story...
